The hotel is great and the couple that run it are very nice, accomodating, and helpful. Very clean and well maintained rooms and common areas. The pool is also really nice, even though it's a stone's throw away from Μπλε Λιμανακι (Blue Harbour beach) and Maltezana beach, and a few hundred meters away from Plakes. The hotel is conveniently positioned in the middle of Astypalaia, so it's easy to drive west to Chora and drive east to other beaches or Vathi.

The position was amazing, and the hosts were wonderfully nice to us. They helped us find scooters to rent and recommended all the best spots on the island. Even more so, they made us feel at home the whole time!

The apartment was in a perfect position for us. Whilst it is out of town, there are tavernas and a supermarket very close. Just below the apartment is a great cove with pebble beach. Inside the apartment is very comfortable and the owners make you very welcome, leaving a sweet treat each day. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Highly recommended.

Great location in walking distance from the port and Chora. We enjoyed the amazing view to the castle from the veranda-it is exactly as shown in the photos. Brand new, clean and spacious. Also the parking space was very convenient. The host was very polite and the overall service very professional. We will definitely stay in Ydria if we visit Astypalaia again.

The moment we entered in Chrysalis Hotel, we were welcomed in the most sympathic and warmest way possible. Front desk team Iliana oriented us immediately about Astypalaia must do's and must go's and she also immediately found us a car at a good rental price. The view of hotel is breath taking, the rooms, the breakfast!! are superior as well. I was in between staying in Chora and Port (where Chrysalis is) and I understood how correct choice I have made :) Don't hesitate one second to chose this amazing hotel, you will get pampered every second with its facilities and the hotel team's sweetness ...

We had with breakfast booked on his beach cafe which was very relaxed and welcoming, too. Large room and bus stop in front if the house, supermarket opposite 2min away, 5min to the beach. 2min to 2 delicious taverns down the hill, too. Highly to recommend!!
