JapanThis is a hidden gem of small village just a stone away from Mkoani ferry terminal. This lodge is a part of village scenery. You can see and listen how the people working, walking, and even singing! I enjoyed some communications with village people, they are very friendly and hospitable. I enjoy sunset time when dhows are going back in reddish shining water reflecting sunset. Night time is very quiet. This is as if home away home. Denis, the owner, is very friendly and helpful, knowing a lot about Pemba and Africa. His family and stuff have full of hospitality. They even prepared a breakfast box for my early departure in the morning. I highly recommend and hope to go back soon!
