Coast Inn at Lake Hood, is a short walk away to watch float planes take on and off from one of the busiest seaplane bases in the world. The room size was very large and very comfortable. The bed was really comfortable. Watching the planes land and take off was fun.

LOVED LOVED LOVED this hotel. We booked here last minute (as in the same day) due to canceled travel due to avalanche, they managed to fit us in and gave us an early check in. The staff are absolutely amazing, everyone we met who worked there had great customer service. The girl who checked us in was amazing and so sweet. We also loved the bar and the staff that worked there were so lovely too. The room was nice and comfortable too

Breakfast was good with hot and cold options. The room we stayed in was close to the lobby which isn’t for everyone but we liked that. I always enjoy coming to the Puffin Inn. Everyone is always so friendly even when things get overwhelming or hectic. I loved that when my plane came in earlier than expected, the front desk associate didn't keep me waiting and placed me in an available room. The room was super big for just me BUT I remained thankful and just stayed in the space and kept it neat. First time I was on the 3rd floor and was excited to have access to an elevator.
