The ambience was peaceful; visited the Evangeline statue in St. Martin Parish at the Saint Martin de Tours Mother Church of the Acadians and also visited the Longfellow - Evangeline State Historic Site. Pressed for time, I would love to get back and visit soon....

    Lafayette is a smaller town mid size city where I have family. It’s a little congested for its size but… it definitely has great shopping, eateries and some areas of prestige. I will come back to experience more

    I love the wide variety of restaurants.

    I love the wide variety of restaurants. I like the downtown entertainment venues and restaurants also. Lafayette also offers plate lunches at markets. The ones at Champagne’s Market offer a lot for the money. I’m always pleased with the portions. The merchandise at Champagne’s Market in the Carencro area offers good quality items and a fantastic dining room for eating. The patio area is also nice too.
