We absolutely loved Seattle and would love to return!
We absolutely loved Seattle and would love to return! Pike Place Market was better than imagined, so much to see and eat and drink and felt authentic, not overly touristy. We loved the waterfront, felt like a real good times area and enjoyed Ivar's Seafood so much we went twice in our three-day visit. Recommend ferry to Bainbridge Island and wine tasting near the ferry terminal there, and the bookshop on the high street - would have liked more time to hire bikes etc but coming back to Seattle late afternoon as the sun started to go down was beautiful. Kerry Park and Queen Anne was great. We did a bike tour and liked Ballard and Fremont and Ballard Locks and the salmon bridge. Also enjoyed a free walking tour on Day 1 with a fun guide. Ate really well in Belltown and downtown and Capitol Hill. Space Needle is definitely worth the visit even though some guide books and online guides were sceptical, and the Museum of Pop Culture was fantastic. We'd like to try the aquarium if we manage to come back. We have lived in London for 20+ years and travel a lot but Seattle is probably a firm favourite now. The setting is glorious and feels like a lot happening here with a good soul.Guest review byRuthUnited Kingdom - 4.0
Several homeless/druggies in the area.
Several homeless/druggies in the area. But they didn seem to be bothering anybody. But I did get too see a "Free Palestine" parade. (Which there aren't too many of in Tennessee where I live.....)Guest review byDennisUnited States - 10.0
Seattle for us was a welcome escape from Florida heat.
Seattle for us was a welcome escape from Florida heat. Fortunately the Seattle weather was clear, cool and beautiful. Pike Street Market would take three days to explore every nook and cranny. We took a walking foodie tour of the market and would recommend that for visitors., The aquarium and the waterfront were also fun to visit. There is cosmopolitan variety in foods at local restaurants.Guest review byNeilUnited States
