Excellent hotel: very nice breakfast, nice view and only 20 min walking from the train station (or you can take a bus that leaves you at the front door). Super relaxing environment and very friendly staff. The room is also clean and has air conditioning. Simply loved it!

Only a few steps from the lakeside promenade, the Youth Hostel Montreux can be found 400 metres south of the Montreux-Territet Train and Funicular Station.

The staff especially the handsome man at the reception was patient, kind and helpful. The hotel provided the slippers when we asked for. Besides, the resident card provided was good. We can take the bus free and 50% discount of the museum fees. The hotel restaurant was beautiful.

Would be difficult to beat the location, with panoramic views out over Lake Geneva and beyond to the French Alps. Nice big high-quality tv with streaming from Youtube etc. Lots of tv channels (but not too many if all you can speak is English language). Frequent buses to/from Montreux run right past the door. The promenade walk along the waterfront to town is one of the best walks in the world.

Excellent location and a wonderful host who was very helpful throughout our stay. The Lavaux Guest Card was a great bonus and made getting around much easier. We’d be happy to come back again!
