A good price for what you get. Washrooms are nice and clean. Everyone hangs out in the main shared area (restaurant area) and plays guitar and plays cards in the evening (but not too late, quiet hours are respected). During the rainy season, you can swim in the pools of the waterfall that is literally one second away from the lodge.

Sumatra Thomas Leaf Monkey Guesthouse & Jungle Trek — это вариант с проживанием в семье в городе Букит-Лаванг. We stayed here for one night before our jungle trek. We booked our Medan airport to Bukit Lawang transport and the jungle trek with them. From the time of booking till we left the place; Brian and his team were extremely helpful. Sarah cooked delicious dinner for the night. The place is value for money and they even provide good breakfast. Our tour guide for the forest trek was Rosyid & his assistant Theo. They were absolutely amazing and the best throughout. I could complete my trek on the last day because of their motivation throughout. We can't recommend them enough. The food that they served during trek was also really good. Rosyid and Theo went out of their way to help a random guy during the trek who was unwell and made sure to give him the medicines and took extremely good care of him till he got better and help arrived. It didn't matter to him if the guy was part of our group or no and that shows how professional and caring they are. Magic tricks by Rosyid at the campsite was very entertaining. There was also Manto who cooked extremely delicious dinner and breakfast for us and helped with the river tubing. Would definitely recommend staying at Sumatra Thomas Leaf Monkey Guesthouse in Bukit Lawang.

Совершенно великолепный вид с террасы, отличный персонал, ну и конечно хозяин геста Роберт- исключительно гостеприимный, готовый помочь и решить все проблемы. Просто огромное спасибо, мало кто так заботится о постояльцах как он. Должен сказать что Паданг и окрестности сильно недооценены как туристическое направление. Здесь можно интересно провести минимум неделю. Жалею что остался только на пять дней. Постараюсь вернуться ещё.

Property was clean and overlooked the river view. My stay was excellent, and I also booked the jungle trek with them. It was absolutely amazing, and it was their own business. So it was a small group. Ricky and Anto were great with taking care of us. You should really try this activity! It’s very very worth it, and rest assured you are in good hands.

The location is absolutely amazing, right next to the amazing sea but also in the jungle. We managed to see lots of amazing animals right from the bungalow terrace. Monkey, monitor lizards, birds, butterflies. Our bungalow was sea front, thanks to Robi who moved us after the first night. Very close to the bungalows is Olala restaurant, an amazing one, with a great terrace and view. It s like 50m away. We had hot water as well which I honestly didn't expect. Robi will help you with anything, motorbike rental at great prices, snorkeling equipment, snorkeling trips etc. I strongly recommend this place!

Borja and YunYun are very accomodating. Services like scooter rental and laundry are offered. There is also a dog (give him some nice scratches to become friends). The bungalows were also very nice.

The location is stunning although u have to climb up there through the jungle. No hot shower and a lot of mosquitos but thats part of the jungle. Friendly people, good guides, we had a lot of fun with Robin and Rian while doing the jungletrek. Weaking up with monkeys around u in the trees. Stunning

The property was clean and well-located, the staff went above and beyond for us by helping us organize rides and activities, the bed was quite comfortable, and the food at the restaurant was tasty and cheap. With the river running by so close, it felt like we were staying at an alpine lodge! The family running the guest house is extremely kind. We couldn’t recommend this place enough. Make sure to bring cash with you, though. As of writing this it’s a cash-only town with the nearest ATM about 7km away.
