Very nice and quiet accommodation in the middle of nature on a tourist trail, still within 10 minutes of a bus stop, providing the possibility to get to a bigger city and railway station. I also enjoyed rich breakfast, drinks and coffee available 24h and friendly staff.

We actually wish we had arived a little earlier as we would have gone on one of the mine tours in the little train, but thats on us, we could not make an earlier arrival possible.

What a wonderful surprise to have discovered B&B Stirnimann for our two night stay while touring Switzerland. The area is peaceful and lovely and the stay was everything we could ever want and more. Our hosts offered us a warm welcome and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The accommodations were not just clean but absolutely spotless and our room was cozy, spacious and very comfortable. We were allowed to use the full kitchen and living room and porch in addition to our room and that was such a treat for us on our long trip. The best part you ask? The best part was Hedi our host who we instantly adored. She is a gracious, funny, kind and friendly force of nature who made sure we were comfortable, offered touring and local information and provided us with a full delicious breakfast. There are some people and places that enhance a trip in special ways that you know you will never forget. Staying at B&B Stirnimann and meeting Hedi will hold a special place in our memory and we hope to return someday.

Martina was an excellent host! The breakfast was incredible, checkin was smooth and we had no issues with sharing a bathroom. There is a beautiful backyard to eat in. We came from a really long cycle ride and Martina went out of her way to pick up our pizza order as the restaurant across the road was on vacation. Perfectly matches the description

Casa Esperanza is located a 5-minute tram ride from the centre of Basel and offers free WiFi and a shared terrace with seating area. The rooms all come with a flat-screen TV. Everything! Kai was the most gracious and accommodating host you could ever imagine. He provided so many extra supplies that one might need while traveling and made sure that all our needs we met, including umbrellas, raincoats and shopping bags if needed. The room was spacious and bed very comfortable. We shared a bathroom, which turned out to be no inconvenience whatsoever. We highly recommend Guesthouse Casa Esperanza in Basel and hope you take advantage of Kai’s wonderful hospitality.
