Occupant une charmante maison d'hôtes datant du XVIIIe siècle, le B & B Demeure Saint-Louis constitue une base idéale pour visiter la ville médiévale de Carcassonne. This is a home from home. The rooms are beautifully designed, well maintained and homely - and stocked with thoughtful additions such as local wines. On arrival we were given a map showing our location and ten restaurant recommendations which made our overnight stay really easy. You can leave your car securely parked in the grounds and walk up into the walled town in just a few minutes. We didn’t get chance to use the pool but it looked great.

Hosts are very friendly and helpful. They welcomed us late at night without any hesitation even though it was almost midnight. In the morning, they welcomed us in their lovely home for breakfast with an amazing view. Very clean property, everything is new and cleverly made. Also, includes nice amenities such as tennis court and jacuzzi. Great value for money, definitely recommended!

L’établissement Chambre 1er étage vous accueille à Canet, à 13 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Stade Gilbert-Brutus. I love this place! There is absolutely nothing to complain about! It's a converted residence with one ground floor room and 3 more up a winding staircase. It's a perfect combination of private room and hostel-style interaction with other guests. Owner, Pascal, single-handedly does all the work, keeping the place very clean and tidy. He speaks adequate English. At 25€ (single, mid-May, no breakfast), it's an outstanding value, too. I enjoyed it so much I stayed 3 nights. When there was no availability on the 2nd night, Pascal gave me his room.The four rooms share two bathrooms, half and three-quarter. There is a full shared kitchen/lounge, including an oven and cooking equipment, suitable for preparing full meals. Wi-fi is excellent. There is a constant supply of coffee and tea, a generous set of herbs and spices, ice cubes, and garden lemons. The description says towels and linens cost extra. This is true for towels but linens are included. The rear surroundings are lushly green and the residential street is very quiet. There is a small balcony for smoking or sitting and the large front yard has tables and chairs. There is ample, free street parking. Shopping and the beach are a long walk away, but there is good bus service. Guests should be aware that the rooms do not have external locks so they're accessible when not occupied but I had absolutely no sense of theft danger. If you. like me, don't like standard hotels, this place is for you!

Great host to provide us touring info. Beautiful breakfast setup on patio with water viewing; Easy parking just across the street on a parking lot. After breakfast easy stroll of town center, River/canal/park just behind the property. Great value!
