We had a very good experience, especially because of the hosts: very warm, welcoming and helpful people that made us feel at 'home away from home'. the house is beautifully decorated, sparkling clean (honestly, we haven't seen one speck of dust in 3 days we've been there). The location is superb, close to many attractions but tucked away from noise and crowds, the breakfast was delicious and the bed was super comfortable. They have beautiful outdoors sitting are where we had one meal and loved it too. Our room had a shower and toilet outside, which wasn't what we expected, but it stoped being a bother after a short while. Overall a great place to stay and we will definitely be back if in the area.

Mulgrave Country Cottage is absolutely gorgeous, quiet, well furnished, has beautiful art of the local area throughout and was a really enjoyable stay. The breakfast was fantastic and checking in and out was easy. The heated bathroom floor was fun and our room had its own entrance to the outside with a hallway bench - quite nice. The King bed was comfortable with nice bedding. We LOVED the short, beautiful stroll into Sandsend and had our best pub meal of our entire UK trip at The Hart Inn. I took a chance being a person with dog allergies and was very happy (and impressed) that although dog friendly, the rooms were spotless, did not have any animal smells and I had no animal allergies.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night's stay. In fact, we wished that we had booked to stay longer! Jane and .Mike are fantastic hosts. They surprised us with a bottle of wine for our 3 milestone celebrations. The room is lovely with a comfortable bed, and a courtyard that we could sit outside to enjoy our drinks or even to do exercise.

We stayed at Floyter House for 2 nights in late April to attend a wedding at Danby Castle. We booked the master suite on the top floor of the house. We thought that this was excellent value considering it was like a mini Airbnb with a separate bedroom, bathroom and TV room. The tea and coffee facilities were really good. Charlotte was very accommodating and friendly, she even very kindly dropped us off at the wedding venue on the morning of the big day, which saved us driving and leaving the car overnight. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Easy to find location, Google takes you to the door. We stayed in this newly renovated, to an incredibly high standard guest house for a couple of very enjoyable nights. Each room is very individual and a completely different aesthetic to one another, we stayed in Room one which not only has a beautiful Roll top bath , but from the sitting area you can see the Whitby Abbey ruins. Breakfast, which was both a selection of cereal, fruit, yoghurt and juices , then a delicious cooked breakfast if you like ( plus toast and jam too) was served by the hosts George and Lynn, whom were both attentive, friendly, funny and so informative of the local area, suggesting many places to visit , dine at or walk too. They really do appear to care for their guests and to ensure the guests can enjoy their stay to the maximum. The guest house is easy to find on Prospect Hill, just after the lights when coming out of Whitby centre. A short walk downhill to the town, but you may want a taxi back. Parking however is provided for residents at the back of the guest house.
