The interior decoration is just spectacular -but not only , the hotel has a very authentic northern vibe - the views , the light , the design and location by the sea made our stay a truly unique experience - Hotel Karolina was my favorite accommodation during our 10 days trip in Iceland.

One important thing to keep in mind: the access road is a gravel road, so plan accordingly the car rental! 😉

Located 6 km from Stykkishólmur, Helgafell provides a garden and free WiFi. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. We had privacy but were easily able to access everything we wanted to experience. The views were incredible and we saw the Northern Lights from the deck!

The room is quite small but totally enough, and has a private shower and toilet. The views to the mountain straight from the room are magnificent. The kitchen is large and we'll equipped. Overall great value for money.
