Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). Nice atmosphere for a Guesthouse. Basic food was also provided due to the location which is an exceptional service.

The common space was very enjoyable, they also have a free drink bar that provides coffee and tee; and even tho not from the dorm room, the view in the morning was really nice.

The location is very central in Setoda township so you can walk to ferries, the art gallery, the Kosanji shrine and hill of hope, and to local restaurants.

Very cosy and welcoming. We felt like we were in family house, that day it was my birthday, and host surprised me with some fruits and pudding. The room vas spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a great rest before continuing our cycling journey.

If you are wondering if you should stay here or not, the answer is yes. It is a bit of a walk from the train station, but it is one of the best places I've stayed at while traveling in Japan and right by the river! The host is extremely amiable and easy to talk to. The guesthouse exudes charm with wooden flooring, stained glass and is well kept and clean. I love the wooden turning chairs, rental bike option and the many amenities provided. It is also one of the most comfortable beds and softest blankets I've had and you will have to work to leave the bed because it's so soft and comfy.

Onomichi Guest House Miharashi-tei se găsește în Onomichi, la câțiva pași de Templul Senkoji, și oferă un bar și vedere la oraș. Staying here was a definite highlight of our trip! The guesthouse is absolutely beautiful - full of history and in the most incredible location right underneath Senko-ji temple. I would recommend staying AT LEAST 2 nights - 1 night is definitely not enough to soak it all in. Sitting in the cafe overlooking the city was an absolute dream. The cafe is open to the public but is also a space where guests can eat and drink their own food which felt really nice and cosy. The walls of the rooms are basically decorative so you really can hear all the other guests staying, but I was pleasantly surprised at how considerate all the other guests were of noise and everyone was so quiet after 9pm. I could not recommend this guesthouse highly enough!

It's a beautiful big traditional Japanese house with the host living in a separate house next door. There are 3 rooms in the house so there is the potential to be sharing with other guests. Toilets, shower rooms and kitchen are shared. Our room was huge with futons, a table, and sliding doors that opened up to a view of the garden. It was lovely to be able to hear the river rushing by right beside the house, and cool to stay in a quiet little neighborhood. The #29 bus is very easy to catch to and from Hiroshima station and it runs super frequently, so it wasn't a problem being slightly out from the city centre. We had a very relaxed and peaceful stay here and would definitely come back again. Thank you to our wonderful and friendly host Kengo!

Super friendly host, gave me a lift to the sights that I was interested and seemed genuinely interested in ensuring I was comfortable in their stay. Cats very friendly and playful, plenty of them. Good location, quiet part of town but walking distance to places of interest.
