It was very very pleasant; minimalistic and cozy at the same time... plenty of bathrooms and everything squeaky clean! Wonderful. And you have washing machines and drier (: It's located less than 4 stations from the main train station so that's also very convenient (at least for me that I traveled for business and I needed to go to another town every day) So I definitely recommend it (: it is nice and modern and clean and pleasant. That was this little apartment for me! It was bigger than my flat in London, with a kitchen/living area and a separated bedroom, which was perfect for when my husband wanted to stay up late watching TV, but I wanted to go to bed. We had everything we needed - a dishwasher, fridge, microwave, and coffee machine, and the free self-serve laundry facilities were just on the other side of the wall from our particular apartment. Both the bed and pull-out sofa bed were so incredibly comfy; I got such amazing sleep! The staff included a very efficient fan to fight the August heat, but because this was the basement apartment, it stayed pretty cool most of the time. So don't worry that there isn't A/C - we were super comfortable without it. The bathroom was huge and one of the best showers I have ever had anywhere! The two TVs were great, easy to use, and excellent for a night in when it was raining. We didn't need parking, but it's there if you need it, and the location is only a 5-minute walk from the Old Town Square, where you'll find the funicular, lots of shoppes, the Abbey Library, and the bus stops. The staff was also so responsive and helpful any time that I contacted them. I cannot wait to come back and stay here again!

A very short and beautiful stay with amazing views. It was clean and modern and smelled very good. Stocked up food, water, coffee, chocolates which was complimentary. Very well equipped kitchen with condiments to make it handy and a very good communication with the host Maria who is kind and generous.

Beautiful views - the mountains, the hills, the animals (cows:). Very good local food (including cheese made by the owners). Spacy apartament with all needed amenities. Very comfortable beds with real feather duvet. Welcoming host, helpful and communicative. And you can buy the cheese to take home :)

The location for us was excellent as we have family living nearby, using public transport was easy. The view from bed across Lakr Constance is beautiful

Markus, the owner of the place, is an extremely warm and welcoming person. He makes sure the accommodation is spotlessly clean and comfy, where everyone feels at home. The building is newly renovated and offers new furniture and excellent bathroom facilities. There are also 2 kitchens with cooking facilities and a coffee vending machine. We highly recommend this place.

Το Blattenheimat - im traditionellen Appenzeller Haus παρέχει καταλύματα με δωρεάν WiFi, κήπο με βεράντα και θέα στην πόλη. The house was very well equipped for cooking or entertainment. And it had lovely traditional elements-decor, furniture, interior. Was just a close walking distance to supermarket and old town. We really enjoyed our stay.

It was easy to get in with the self-checkin which was important for me since I arrived with the last train. The room had everything I needed, and the bed was perfect. Good pillows, good mattress, just excellent.
