Budhi the owner is amazing: he picks you up from the station and brings you back, he is super friendly and offers his help and recommendations whenever you need. In the morning you can enjoy some tea with him or other guest in the common are (a really nice terrace). The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is perfect and the place lays in a backyard which makes it cozy. Thanks you Budhi - one of the best places we stayed so far in Indonesia!

The owner was lovely, as was the rest of the staff. Extremely accommodating as we are vegan and they were able to organise meals for us. Arranging transport to the turtle lodge and to our next destination was also extremely easy. Couldn’t recommend this place enough! Breathtaking scenery and a beautiful place to stay.

Really liked the nice neighborhood and the size of the homestay- high ceilings and spacious social area felt like a comfortable family home. Our host set up our trekking tour for us with a great guide- everything included- which was so easy, and we had great laundry service done. Water, tea and coffee available to self-serve and beer was available for purchase- nice details!

The family who run the place are lovely. So thoughtful and generous. We booked multiple excursions through them and they went above and beyond to make us comfortable. (They lent us water shoes for Tumpak Sewu and even threw some cushions in the car for our long drive) Breakfast was made after our Sunrise at Mt Bromo despite us being a few hours late for breakfast. If you’re in Malang, stay here!!!

We booked Juda Homestay for the Ijen tour, but was pleasantly surprised by how clean and spacious the room was. The owner was also very helpful and made everyone feel at home. He prepared midnight snacks and coffee before the tour, and breakfast after the tour. Overall a great and affordable place to stay!

Terletak 2.9km dari Pantai Boom, Banana Homestay menyediakan penginapan dengan taman, teres dan dapur berkongsi untuk kemudahan anda. Staying at Banana Homestay was a great decision! We arrived at around 3am in the morning, but the check-in was super smooth because Fryda contacted me before and thoroughly explained everything to me. The room was quite small but cozy and had everything we needed. Fryda also helped us book the Mt. Ijen tour, she was very helpful and kind. One of the best things about staying here was definitely the breakfast! Delicious tea with a sandwich, a plate of fruit, and always some fresh pastry! The doughnuts were the BEST doughnuts we've ever had, honestly! On our last day, the lady cook was kind enough to make doughnuts for us again after she realized how much we liked them. Place is super nice and cozy. There isn't any hot water but that wasn't a problem given how hot it was. I definitely recommend staying here, there was nothing we didn't like! Plus, the kitties there are super cute as well~Thanks for having us (:

Everything was truly magical. The name is correct— it IS a gem!!! The moment we arrived Erika warmly greeted us with a fresh dragon fruit juice. The room is SO luxurious, the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in, ever. The gardens are lush, the river is clean and the area is so spiritual and relaxing. We spent so much time at the pool swimming, reading, meditating. The owners are so lovely. Marc taught us many things about Java and about life. We appreciated his conversations. Happy to call them friends. Special shout out to young Rico!!! The chef of the house!! Amazing home cooked meals, the best we’ve had in our trip through Indonesia. Thank you Rico you smashed it and you have a great future ahead.
