Mr. Firdous's houseboat was far enough from the street so the only sound you hear is the tranquility of Dal Lake. Every morning, you would wake up to a peaceful view of the lake, plus a well-cooked breakfast (try the egg pizza!) The rooms are wonderful, authentic, and full of patterns (a big YES for maximalist) Mr Firdous knows EVERYONE you need, so he is ready to go the extra mile to accommodate your needs. If he cannot help you with that, he will get you the rightest guy for you. As someone who had stayed 2 weeks before staying Veena Palace, I can say finding dinner is challenging in Srinagar, especially if you live on a houseboat. Worry not because his wife is a wonderful cook who performs art with skill and heart. I tried some dishes from the elaborate Kashmiri wazwan, and I cannot recommend enough the crispy rib and the fish curry. The meatball was mashed to perfection; chewy and juicy. I personally learnt so much about heart-to-heart connection, which is something considerable for solo travellers in India, thanks to Mr. Firdous. My words cannot describe enough for my wonderful stay with Mr. Firdous on his houseboat.

Ubicato a Srinagar nella regione Jammu & Kashmir, l’alloggio Sea Green Guest House offre un balcone. We had a short stay here but it was everything we needed for that. The owner was lovely and very hospitable! We had an early start and he was lovely and had some coffee ready for us before we left! The rooms are clean and spacious enough :).
