Beautiful property run by the most amazingly welcoming and accommodating family. I would highly recommend to anyone driving from Marrakech to the desert, this is a great half way point. We had our own car and their parking is great. It is outside of the main town but this is to its benefit, the rooms and terrace have an amazing view over the river bed and the mountains. Also I would highly recommend dinner at the riad, the food is lovely. Breakfast was also really yummy - Berber options and European options including the most delicious home made yogurt. Thanks again Omar and team, we had a lovely stay.

Offering a restaurant, Riad Soleil du Monde is located in Zagora. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with air conditioning. Private bathroom also comes with a shower. Paradise! :) What a beautiful place. We stayed here one night with 2 kids, but we could have stayed a week! The hosts were so welcoming and very friendly, always making sure we were comfortable and that we had everything we needed. Also, the food was delicious both at dinner as breakfast. Beds are comfortable with cosy blankets for the colder nights. We will come back!

This guest house is located in the old village of Ait-Ben-Haddou, a sand fortress 30 km from Ouarzazate. Location, design, decor, staff! An exceptionally special stay in this historic village. 8 rooms, each unique, each with a view and/or a terrace. Staff very accommodating- it was a very cold spell and they made sure we had heat in our room. Each common room of the hotel was a masterpiece, the cave-like ‘family room’ to the dining area and terraces. Breakfast was also exceptional taste of the region and plentiful. Because it is a UNESCO site there is very limited power. Charging is done in a central area by reception. All lights are out at night to conserve. Knowing this ahead allows you to plan accordingly. Parking for 20 dirhams in someone’s gated yard worked well. Hotel has this dialed in and it’s a good way just be sure you are paying the property owner and not someone on the street acting like it’s theirs. Sunset from the top, sunrise from the eastern knob, or from the hotel terrace.

This was a perfect place: all the comforts of a hotel, all the charms of a family homestay. The room was large and modern, well-lit and with a super-comfy bed. The owner looked after us really well, cooked us an incredible dinner and made sure our stay was perfect. He and his family were incredibly kind. The standard of this hotel was by far the highest of our trip so far, really good value for money. Beautiful Todra Gorge is very close by, so you can get there early and beat the crowds.
