I have travelled all over the world using Booking.com, including many boutique-type hotels. It is rare that a hotel exceeds my expectations in every respect. This one did. This hotel is a relatively new, well-situated hotel in the heart of the old town, Cartagena. We asked for a quiet room, and received one. The only disadvantage with the room was that windows did not look out on anything and that they were sealed, but the room was relatively quiet in a very noisy city. To have a balcony room with openable windows means a lot of noise at night in Cartagena. We preferred to sleep! The room we had was equipped with a comfortable king-size bed, lots of room and a very good bathroom, complete with a large shower and a Japanese toilet (which is relatively rare in my experience). We initially had some difficulty with the TV, but staff rectified the problem quickly. The AC worked well and the room is equipped with a ceiling fan if one prefers to use it- we used both. The design of the hotel, including the finishes, demonstrates a well-thought out, professional team was involved. I was particularly impressed by the overall design of the common areas of the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The pool on level 4 is small but adequate for cooling down in a hot city. The hotel offers massage services. The companion hotel (Hotel Boutique Casona del Colegio) is available for meals and has a larger pool; it is located only 150 metres away, which is very convenient. For the cost, this hotel is a very good choice, allowing one to walk all over the old town and neighboring areas. Assuming that the hotel maintains its service standards and keeps its facilities in good condition, this is a hotel that I recommend without reservation.

Islawa Soy Local - Isla Privada mempunyai taman, teres, restoran dan bar di Barú. What else can be said about this magical place. The new and spotless hotel is located in a remote location easily accessible by boat from the main pier in Barù. Our suite had three balconies, each facing the ocean from a different direction, sunrise from one, open ocean and shade from the other and sunset from the third one. The staff, including Oscar and Antonio, were great as well as the front desk manager, Jairo, who went the extra mile to made sure our stay was perfect. We highly recommend this place for its charm and relaxing surrounding.

Casa Gracia is a hidden gem in Cartagena! Ronald, the manager, went above and beyond to make me feel completely at home, and the entire staff was kind, helpful, and incredibly accommodating throughout my stay. The property is brand new and fully renovated and everything feels pristine. As someone with a mold allergy, I’m hyper-aware of cleanliness and air quality, and this is one of the very few places in Cartagena I can safely stay. The space is spotless, smells fresh without overwhelming fragrances, and is clearly maintained with great care. The rooms are beautifully designed with super comfortable beds, blackout shades (a must when the sun rises before 6am!), and well-functioning air conditioning. It was so quiet and restful, and I woke up refreshed every single day. There’s also a charming little terrace with a view of the old fort and a lovely breeze, perfect for relaxing. And there’s a small pool, too! The lobby area is inviting with tables and chairs if you want to work, and the overall energy of the place is calm and peaceful. The location is ideal: just outside the busy old colonial center, so it’s quiet and safe, yet you can easily grab a taxi and be in the old town in minutes. I honestly felt so well taken care of here. I’ll absolutely stay again and recommend Casa Gracia to anyone looking for a clean, serene and welcoming home base in Cartagena.

Everything about Charme 64 was fantastic - from the clean, spacious room with a mini fridge, large TV, and comfortable bed - to the lovely, small pool with lounge chairs and sunny patio. The staff was welcoming and kind - especially Luz, who reached out on WhatsApp a few days before our arrival. The breakfast included coffee, fresh fruit, a bread basket, and eggs or arepa de huevo. The sitting area inside is nice for relaxing. The location in Barrio Crespo is ideal for the beaches, malecón, and airport, plus there are many great, local restaurants that you can walk to from Charme 64. ¡Cinco estrellas!
