The Property is decorated & maintained to a high standard, all the amenities worked consistently with no problems, felt more like a quality Hotel with the added touch of a Homestay. The owners/hosts are very kind, genuinely hospitable, hard working & incredibly helpful, the food was always freshly prepared & very tasty, (I highly recommend eating dinner here, you won't be disappointed). The location is good, away from the hustle & bustle of the town with amazing views of the valley. You will get a room key & can come & go as you like so (just like a Hotel) so don't be put off by it being a Homestay, our overall experience was excellent from the point of booking to our departure the communication & information was first class, arranging Taxis & helping plan our trip. A special mention to Nima & his wife who helped care for my daughter when unwell & whose company I was very happy & grateful to share, wonderful. Thank you for a great stay 🙏

The Di-Lac Retreat is situated in Gangtok and features a terrace. Among the various facilities are a shared lounge and a restaurant. Both free WiFi and private parking are available on site. Very clean, spacious and well furnished room with all amenities including kettle, tea and coffee. Great view to Gangtok and surroundings. 3 minutes walk to Ganesh tok where you also can see Kanchenjunga range if go 100 meters further. Himalayan zoo there as well. 15 minutes walk down to Enchey gompa and 15 minutes more to Ridge, Orchidarium and Royal palace. Very helpful staff, tasty food and good room service.

Indeed one of the best hotel I ever stayed. Hotel is really an epitome of hospitality. The rooms are very premium and well decorated with all luxuries. The balcony has Kanchenjunga View. Food is also awesome. Spa is also good. Hotel is near MG Marg.

I really like the ambience and the vibes here are really calming. My children also enjoyed the place and the staff here were soft spoken and child friendly too. The food was also good be it paneer tikka or dal fry. Their signature dish was really good.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape that added to the charm. The food was absolutely delicious—home-cooked, authentic, and easily some of the best I’ve had during my travels. On top of that, everything was offered at very affordable rates, making it a great value for money. I’m genuinely grateful for the hospitality and care shown by the owner and their family. This homestay isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place where you feel at home. Highly recommended!
