Located in Udawalawe, NATURE HOUSE offers rustic accommodation with free WiFi access available at all areas. Rooms are comfortable, clean and fitted with a spacious private terrace. Such a wonderful hotel, and the owner, his son, and the rest of the staff were lovely. They organised a great safari for us, and had a tasty breakfast ready when we came back. Also recommend the dinner curry buffet. All in all outstanding service. Clean rooms, nice pool, nice outdoor area.

Leel's place is without a doubt the best place I've stayed in in Sri Lanka and more than deserves its perfect score. The accommodation is nested in the middle of Leel's beautiful garden. The feeling of staying in the jungle carries all the way through the bathroom, which is full of gorgeous plants. You can clearly see the love and attention to details Leel has poured into creating his cottages. The room is incredibly clean and smells amazing, the aircon is very silent, the lighting is great, there are multiple power points with USB and international power points, the linen is new, the water is hot, there is a small fridge and plenty of storage. The outdoor seating area with its little swing is just the perfect place to relax. But more than anything else, what makes Leel's place truly special is his kindness and care. Leel is a wonderful safari guide with an incredible knowledge of the park and its animals, but also a beautiful man whom I've enjoyed chatting with in the evenings. Leel's family - his wife and his mom - has been incredibly caring and looked after me like a daughter. His mom is a fantastic cook and an impressive woman who made me feel like I was visiting family. So much so that I felt emotional leaving the place. If you find a free room and have the chance to stay, do not hesitate a minute. You'll love it too.
