Located high in the Atlas Mountains, Auberge Le Festival Todra Gorge is an eco-friendly hotel with a hot tub, children’s swimming pool and an organic garden. The staff was full of energy, positivity, and joy.

This guest house is located in the old village of Ait-Ben-Haddou, a sand fortress 30 km from Ouarzazate. It is one of the very few, if not the only, places to stay within the ancient town (most tourists stay across the river). The staff indicated where to park our car (were charged 20 dirhams for the night by the owner), and we got help from the parking lot owner to carry our bags across the river to the town on a donkey (another 20 dirhams). The staff were very friendly, showed us around when we arrived and the breakfast was delicious. The room was marvelous, small and tight which is to expect and is actually beautiful since your staying in a place that is centuries old! It was still very comfortable and we loved it. We had a little terrace where you could see the rest of the town and the river. There's little to no electricity at night, which makes the experience more enchanting (the rooms and hotel have lights everywhere).

Salomon ( son and operator of house) is very sweet and friendly. He made our stay enriched with the bike tour and his warm and friendly personality. Our room was very cute and the beds were comfortable. It was a unique experience and I would highly recommend The Heritage House.
