Ho letto tante recensioni su questo posto e ormai ho imparato a riconoscere quelle negative scritte da persone con uno spirito di adattamento pressocché nullo! Alloggiare qui è stata un'esperienza che custodiremo gelosamente nei nostri cuori. Il proprietario è stato di una gentilezza e premura d'altri tempi. Ci ha organizzato l'escursione nel deserto con i dromedari ad un ottimo prezzo. Ci ha consigliato dove mangiare in città e al mattino ci ha fatto trovare la tavola imbandita per la colazione proprio in mezzo alla sabbia. È un posto fuori dal mondo nel quale ho visto uno dei cieli stellati più belli in vita mia. Se non temete di avere un po' di sabbia sul pavimento della camera, andate tranquilli! D'altro canto si chiama "La casa di sabbia!"

We were made to feel welcome from the minute we stepped onto the property. The hosts speak a number of languages and were a great source of knowledge and information. They were the friendliest hosts we had for our entire trip. We felt at home here straight away. Our room was simple but very spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a full-sized fridge plus enough pots and cutlery. There was a bedroom, an ensuite and a separate living area with the kitchen in it. The large pool was a huge bonus when it was so hot. All up it was great value. Thank you!

The hosts were lovely and extremely welcoming and helpful. We had a wonderful time, it could not have been better! The garden is beautiful and the perfect place to relax. Additionally, the food in the restaurant was very good and clearly prepared with love and care. For people exploring the south of Tunisia (and birds or other wildlife), the location is great - supermarkets and tank stations nearby in Kebili - while the Sahara, mountains and salt lake are all within an hour drive. I cannot recommend this place enough, and when we return to Tunisia we will for sure visit Dar Barka again!

This is a beautiful apartment in Douz. It is very spacious and it is nice and cosy. Extremely clean. Great comfort. Amazing host. Has everything you would need after a long drive here. If I came to Douz again, I would only stay here.

Camp Dunes Insolites Sabria si trova a Şabrīyah e offre una sala comune, una terrazza e un ristorante. It was truly wonderful. Right in the middle of the desert, exactly as shown in the photos. Since we arrived late, we missed part of the activities, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. On the way, our car got stuck in the sand, and within just two minutes they sent a vehicle from the camp to assist us, which was incredibly kind. The camp’s location is really unique. Waking up early in the morning to watch the sunrise over the endless desert is unforgettable. The rooms were comfortable and cozy.

The owner welcomed us with cake and lemonade, that was very nice. The apartment is large, easily accommodates even for 6 people, furnished in a modern style, 2 bedrooms, living room, bathroom. I liked the bedroom with a double bed, it was comfortable, has a warm interior and a large mirror. The breakfast was really right even with things for vegan. I recommend this host.
