Really good service, and a great room with view over both the city and the sea. Complimentary slippers. There was also a nice bag for beach towels to bring to the beach. Room was spacious and clean. Would recommend, 10/10!

You feel like you've arrived at a spa. The rooms are large, bedsheets and towels made of premium quality, and quiet ambiance. There are two rooms on the top floor, so you are sharing the 'home' with another guest, but the wall are sp thick and you cannot hear into the other room. If you don't want to, you can easily keep to yourself and not run into the other guests. The owner lives on the first floor. My favourite part was the details - artwork from India, antique chairs from Indonesia, sunscreen and aloe vera in the bathroom for unlimited use, super stocked kitchen, etc. Highly recommend, wish we would have spend more than 2 nights here!

The host greeted us upon our arrival late at night and happily shared about all the exceptional amenities. Beautiful shared space for a short stay with a beautiful ocean view and access to an inviting swimming pool. We did not make the time to enjoy the pool on this visit; next time. The space was well organized with bins to store food items and access to fridge space on a nice outdoor veranda overlooking plush trees and a spectacular view of the ocean. Thank you for a wonderful first stop on the island. Great first impression!

The property is absolutely wonderful. Nice, natural landscaping that let's you feel immersed in the Hawaiian rainforest. Feels very secluded and private, while also feeling safe and welcoming. Its walking distance to a black sand, clothing optional, beach. I will definitely book here again when visiting the Big Island. I would feel safe here as a solo traveler. Stephen greeted us when we arrived to the property and was so welcoming. I immediately felt at ease in his presence. He gave us a tour and showed us to our rooms, let us know how to reach him if we needed anything. Our smoke alarm was going off one night and he came right over, checked it out and swapped the battery, fixing the problem. I traveled with a friend and we each had separate rooms. The house feels more home like, relaxing front porch, solid wood furniture, and everything you'd need. Both rooms were clean and beds comfortable. At first, I thought my bed may be too soft, but I slept SO good and woke with no pains, feeling refreshed, so it must have been just right. Bath and beach towels were in our rooms, a bathrobe, a list of hosted and local activities we may be interested in, and a little bowl of snacks too. I also appreciated they had sunscreen and bug spray available.

This was the perfect spot to stay while exploring Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. I highly recommend staying here!
