Excellent location, on the top of a dune in the middle of the desert. Fantastic 360 degree view. 15 rooms, outside pool very nice, very good half board plan. Rooms are excellent equipped, with terrace overlooking the desert (the fact that you do not have TV it is rather an advantage). WiFi works very well. The manager (Mr Gautam Balram) is very friendly and helpful. From the activities, we would recommend "night safari and star watching" (ask for Faisal as your guide). Difficult to get there with your own car (do not attempt if you do not have a real 4 motion car and you are not an experienced driver). Aim for the sister camp (Arabian Oryx Camp), and ask the reception there to guide you for the last km, since google maps are not accurate. Parking is free. We would recommend to spend at least two nights there. One night it is not enough.

From Omani hospitality to traditional dancing demonstrations, through a full tour of the desert, meet up with camels roaming around, we felt so comfortable with Saeed, who shared with passion all his knowledge with us. Authentic food was served as well, including traditional Omani dishes and fresh grills, including traditional bread cooking in the fire. It was an amazing experience, totally adapted for kids, group of friends and families!

The camp itself was beautifully set up – very clean, peaceful, and with a truly magical atmosphere under the stars. What made the experience even more special was the amazing driver and guide, Ali. He was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire stay. His passion for the desert and local culture really came through, and he made sure everything was perfect. Even though I was traveling alone, I never felt lonely – just completely relaxed and in awe of the stunning surroundings. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable desert experience! And the food was really nice too.

My partner ane I stayed one night at Thousand Stars Camp and had an amazing time. A big thank you to Ali for his warm hospitality and passion for the camp. The location is incredibly peaceful—tucked deep in the desert with almost no one around. Ali personally arranged our transfers, picking us up in Nizwa and helping us get back to Muscat. We were welcomed with traditional Omani drinks and snacks, which made us feel right at home. The dinner was absolutely delicious—one of the best meals of our trip in Oman. The camp has a stargazing corner perfect for enjoying the night sky, and we highly recommend the sunrise camel ride. The views were breathtaking, and the caretaker kindly took great photos for us. This was a truly authentic and unforgettable desert experience. Highly recommended!

Sultan picked us up from the meet point and took us to the camp and we were welcomed with a campfire and fresh tea and coffee! The tents were vary spacious, clean and cosy, and the bathroom facilities clean. The next morning we walked to the sand dunes and the children did sand boarding. Sultan especially and the camp staff ensured our stay was comfortable and we highly enjoyed our stay in the desert!

Dato che ci sono tante strutture in quel deserto, abbiamo prenotato in base alle valutazioni molto buone. In effetti in quel deserto ci sono tante strutture e penso che abbiamo scelto bene perché le tende non sono tante nell’accampamento di Rashid, l’accampamento è abbastanza isolato e su una duna in modo da poter osservare il tramonto. Si mangia molto bene e anche la colazione è buona e abbondante. Inoltre, Rashid è una persona molto gentile e la sera ha organizzato una gita notturna. Aggiungo anche se non influisce sul giudizio finale, che ci ha dato una mano a risolvere un piccolo problema in poco tempo. Confermo le buone recensioni e lo consiglio

From the first greet with Muhammad to the drive back to our car. We were treated exemplarly and the guys made us feel like home. Even though it was our first desert experience. We totally recommend them! We booked the dinner and it was a buffet which they already told us before booking it. It was plenty of food and so delicious. The bed was so comfy and everything was clean. Thank you very much for your hospitality. 🙏🏽
