Situated in Kyoto, less than 1 km from Gion Shijo Station, TSUKIMI HOTEL features air-conditioned accommodation and a terrace. Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and a tour desk, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Sanjusangen-do Temple is 1.8 km away and Heian Shrine is 2.2 km from the capsule hotel. It’s a great property. To be honest, as a traveller who prefers to be alone, but I don’t think I would stay anywhere else in Kyoto. Also, the staff were operating with reduced numbers and I have to say they are some of the hardest working in Kyoto, they never seemed to have a day off. Thanks for everything.
Gion, Kyoto
Just a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station, The Millennials Kyoto offers capsule units with modern decor. The property offers free WiFi in all areas and for an additional cost, bicycle rentals are available. I stayed for four nights. It is probably the best hostel to stay in while visiting Kyoto. It has an unbeatable central location, a huge common area for work and socialization, free beer hour, and cozy and comfortable beds/capsules. I haven't tried breakfast. I would definitely stay again.

Very clean and nice facilities (laundry, showers, snacks, large lounge room, enough bathrooms). Quite a lot of amenities that are accessible through longer stays. Meeting other travelers, although brief, was very fun and cool - the place definitely encourages some socializing as you will run into each other here and there.
Good security, I was not worried about my luggage at all - would recommend keeping valuables with you in the capsule just in case.
Definitely best staying here for more than 2 nights to maximize the experience (I only stayed one night unfortunately).

The staff were friendly and attentive, and the hotel's location was convenient for both bus and subway access, making it easy to reach popular attractions. We particularly enjoyed the welcome cookies and tea ceremony, which added a special touch to our stay. Also, although it may seem like a minor detail, my sister and I liked the high-quality amenities provided, (shampoo and conditioner) which were from a premium brand not commonly found in 2-4 star Japanese hotels.
Staff was friendly, some could speak really good english. Rooms were pretty decent. Lots of laundry machines and even a pretty cheap drink vending machine, which was very convenient. The location was really great, right next to the famous geisha street. Also really central in Kyoto so you where pretty much downtown with lots of things also well into the night.
The hotel is very conveniently located very close to Kyoto’s main railway station. Staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming with good English spoken throughout. Like most Japanese hotels both the room and the hotel generally, were spotlessly clean. The room was a good size for single occupancy. The adjoining restaurant to the hotel provided an excellent, varied buffet breakfast. Other facilities provide within the hotel included vending machines, laundromat and a spa bath area.
Very convenient for the airport, and incredible views of Osaka from the room. The room itself is huge, comfortable and quiet on a high floor. Probably my favourite place to stay in the Osaka area, and I usually stay in this hotel every time I have the opportunity. Breakfast is delicious including Japanese and Western style options. Somehow the price was extremely low, even cheaper than a capsule hotel on the dates I stayed...
Unlike Europe, and what we consider as hostels, this Japanese capsule hotel is spacious, tidy and the people are respectful and avoid noise and commotion. This actually results in some unexpectedly long and sound sleep. The bathroom is quite big and super clean as well!
Near the train station and walking distance to Dotonbori, all convenient stores. Cheapest price offer. Good if you are on a tight budget. Better than capsules.. Bathroom was clean, nice hot shower and tub.
Staff were friendly and helpful, especially around check-in / check-out and my baggage. Rooms were bigger (taller) than other capsule hotels I've stayed in. Room was clean and cosy and I appreciated the amenities provided, and the air conditioning control in the rooms. They even had an emergency button which I accidently pressed (thought it was the light switch) and a staff member came straight away. The bathrooms especially were well-kept and the female-only onsen was a nice addition.
A very faithful to the Japanese original capsule hotel concept establishment. Communal bath, with onsen and sauna facilities to boot. Basic amenities are provided generously, and some additional efforts are made to further convenient the guests with vending machines readily accessible by just tapping with the wristbands provided and put onto your tab which you would need to settle prior to checking out.
