Wonderful location in the valley. The hosts knew little English but were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms have a nice view, are spacious and have amazing beds. The breakfast was awesome as well! They organise Quetzal tours as well.

Trogon Lodge is located 1.5 km from San Gerardo de Dota town centre and 9 km from Los Quetzales National Park. It features an extensive garden, a terrace and BBQ facilities. Beautiful lodge with absolutely stunning gardens filled with deliciously smelling flowers and odorant blossom trees and avocado trees - thus also full of colibris and even quetzals. Paradise in the cloudforest! All staff go out of their way for guests and are extremely professionnal, courteous and kind. On a rainy and chilly night we came back to hot water bottles on our beds and appreciated the attention so much. A special mention should be given to the landscaping and gardening staff thanks to whom the place is such an Eden. I hope they get regular raises! Rooms were comfy and spotlessly clean, the breakfast delicious and plentiful and the other meals we took there were also excellent. The café also has some lovely choices.

Located in the heart of the cloud forest, Paraíso Quetzal Lodge is a natural sanctuary protecting 80 hectares of extraordinary biodiversity. What an amazing place! The land and views are gorgeous! Beautiful trails, hummingbirds and other lovely birds and nature, great food, friendly and good staff support, and lovely cabins!

Unique place to stay in the center of Copley. Unit across the fish pond from the restaurant of the organic farm. Large size room with ample space for up to 3 adults (our party consisted of only two adults). Considering that the nights get quite cold in this area, the room kept a reasonable temperature over night, with thick blankets provided. Reasonably warm water for a good morning shower (which is a big plus, since it is not always the case in other properties in the area). Pleasant environment with nice staff members (family run place). Possibility to eat in the restaurant whereby the trout comes fresh from the fish pond.

The view is beautiful and the cabines look brand new and are very clean and comfortable! At the lodge across the river you can have breakfast with a very nice view of the river and see a lot of brides.

The lodges were very sweet, cozy for two people. There was a queen sized bed and a single bed. There was hot water in the shower. The true highlight was the adjacent restaurant, Miriam’s Quetzals which belongs to the same owners. We arrived bit after 7 pm, when it closes however they offered us to stay for dinner, which we very much appreciated. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, great dishes, excellent coffee and the view was simply amazing. They feed birds and so while having breakfast you can observe Colibris, tucans etc from up close!! We highly recommend. Also they do help organize guides for quetzal spotting, if desired. The area is great for hiking, nearby is a waterfall hike and further down the valley is the savegre area for longer hikes.
