Hengifosslodge Tiny Houses si trova a Egilsstadir, a 5,8 km da Cascata Hengifoss e 45 km da Kirkjufoss. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about our stay in the Hengifoss lodge. It's a dream to stay here. Once entered you're greeted by the warm smell of ember caused by the wood that was used to make this house. The colours and the layout of the room is incredibly cosy. The fireplace keeps the house (almost too) warm, and the window + terrace give an exceptional view over the lake and mountains. The hosts are also amazing and gave us the feeling that we're not only welcome, but also that they really understand why we chose to go to Iceland. We asked for help with our fireplace and the host, Isabelle, came to the rescue. She tried to help us to lit a fire but to no avail. We did however have a really good conversation. However when she left, we were content enough. Yet still she knocked on the door and winked us to come over. She told us enthusiastically that the Northern Lights were dancing and fully visible, we had to come outside! The next morning it was kind of raining, a little bit. But the sun was also shining through the clouds. The husband, Steff, called me when I was standing on the terrace. He said: "There is a rainbow there!" and pointed towards slightly behind the house I was standing in front of. I walked to the side and indeed saw a beautiful rainbow. This might not say much to other people wanting to stay there. But to me it feels like these people have such a connection with Iceland, its beauty and understand that we are there for the same connection, they told us to look at beautiful views which Iceland offers, and we were delighted to follow their guidance. Thank you Isabelle and Steff, for the warm welcome. Whenever we're in Iceland and planning to go near Eggs, we will definitely make use of your beautiful little houses.

The house in the sleepy, remote village is one of the few accommodations in the area offering all amenities (including a washer and dryer) and the comfort of staying alone. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. Overall, the house possesses some continental European flair, which feels nice.

Fishing Lodge Hálsakot si trova a Sleðbrjótur, nella regione Islanda Orientale. Mette a disposizione il WiFi gratuito, una sauna, e il parcheggio privato gratuito. Un posto immerso nella natura, raggiungibile tramite un tratto di strada sterrata. Area in comune molto confortevole dotata di microonde, tostapane e bollitore. Camera pulita ed accogliente. Ottima comunicazione con il proprietario, che ci ha dato indicazioni precise e puntuali sull'accesso in stanza.

Hrafnabjörg 4 prevede un alloggio con giardino, terrazza e attrezzature da barbecue a Hrafnabjorg e dispone di WiFi gratuito e vista sul fiume. Partiamo da un presupposto: se cercate un hotel o comunque una struttura elegante questo non è il posto giusto. Questa è una casa vera, su due piani, dove di sotto vive una famiglia con figli e il piano superiore viene dato in affitto. Gli elettrodomestici non sono nuovissimi e potrebbero tranquillamente essere quelli di una seconda casa in montagna, il bagno per quanto funzionale non ha una gran pressione dell'acqua e la struttura di per se ha qualche anno. Sono però tutte cose che passano in secondo piano rispetto alla disponibilità dei proprietari e al loro sorriso. E' stato bellissimo vedere le foto di famiglia, i biglietti lasciati da altri viaggiatori, è stata la casa che ho preferito in tutto il mio viaggio in Islanda perché VERA. Tanto se passerete di qua probabilmente starete facendo un viaggio on the road e quale miglior occasione per toccare con mano qualcuno che li ci vive. Solo amore per questa casa e per le persone che ci abitano.
