One of our favorite accommodations during our trip through Sri Lanka. It is a short walk from the main station away from the noisy center and at the end of a more quiet street right be the jungle. It offers a super comfy communal terrace/chill area which is decorated with a lot of personality and attention to details. From there you can watch the nature in front of you and might even catch a glimpse of the giant squirrel or other exotic animals. The room we had was cozy and very clean. Had a great night's sleep there while listening to the sounds of nature. Highlight of the place is the host Angelo, who is just an overall awesome person and who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Whether it's the chocolate cakes and tea upon arrival, serving us huge mountains of Sri Lankan breakfast every morning, letting us shower in an unoccupied room after we came back from a hike while already checked out or filling up our 5 liter water container before leaving, we really couldn't have asked for more. On top of that we had some nice conversations and received helpful recommendations. Thanks a lot for the great hospitality and hope to seeing you again.

Our stay at Ella Barn Hills was absolutely wonderful! Finding accommodation with such a breathtaking view at this price is truly rare. The owner was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, always ensuring our needs were met. Her husband was also fantastic—whenever we needed a ride to the town center, he offered transport at non-touristy prices, making our stay even more convenient. One of the highlights was the possibility to get drinking water directly from the property, which was a great bonus. The breakfast, lovingly prepared even in the early morning hours, was simply delicious, and enjoying it with a view of the Nine Arch Bridge made it even more special. Additionally, they were very helpful in arranging transport to farther locations and giving great local recommendations. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for accommodation in Ella. You won’t be disappointed!

NETHSARA cottage presenta la vista sulla montagna, il WiFi gratuito e un parcheggio privato gratuito a Ella, a 6,4 km da Ponte dai nove archi. Maybe one of the loveliest rooms we booked in our 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. It had 2 beds, a porch and a view on the opposite hill with a Buddhist temple. It is not in downtown Ella but you get the view, so it's a question of taste. Breakfast was served on the porch and was delicious. The owner was great and helped us organize our pickup to and from the cottage as well as a driver to go to Yala.

Great location as it is only 500m from the train station which is 2 stops from Ella. Beautiful view over the garden and hills beyond. Very quiet. No traffic noise. The room was spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water for the shower. Delicious home cooking. But above all else our host and his family made us feel so welcome. Our host helped us plan a fantastic few days. He is completely fluent in English which made all the arrangements go so smoothly.

Very nice location, outside area is the best. Food fresh prepared, nice decorated, very short tuktuk ride from ella center and main sights. Property can arrange all that and will wait for you at the station.

Waking up to the most breathtaking view and having a wonderful breakfast served was such a treat. The atmosphere and surroundings off this place is unbeatable. The family has done a fantastic job with the terasse with recliner chairs and dinner table all to enjoy the view. We had dinner here every night - it was the best we have had so far on our trip. Wonderful and so helpful family. We will have to come back to Yolo again .

Situato a Ella, a 3 km dal Demodara Nine Arch Bridge, l'Arana Sri Lanka Eco Lodge and Yoga Center offre un giardino e la connessione WiFi gratuita. Their staff is really amazing! They were helped us with everything, breakfast was very delicious and the view from the room and from any other part of the eco lodge is simply breathtaking. Thank you very much!

The views were absolutely amazing and so was our host!! She made us a delicious breakfast every morning, helped us plan our activities in Ella and even gave us an incredible cooking class, making some great Sri Lankan curries! And for such a good price!

In buona posizione a Ella, The Spice Lodge mette a disposizione una terrazza, il WiFi gratuito e la vista sulla montagna, a poca distanza da Ponte dai nove archi, Little Adam's Peak e Ella Spice... We spent two nights at Spice Lodge in Ella and it was simply spectacular. The room was super comfortable — honestly, some of the best nights of sleep we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was outstanding, freshly prepared by Kamal’s mother, and we highly recommend the cooking class with her and Kamal’s sister, which was a wonderful experience. The homestay has a very warm and family atmosphere, everything is spotless clean, and the location is just perfect — only 20 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by tuk-tuk from Ella center, right at the starting point for the Nine Arches Bridge and also a great base for Little Adam’s Peak at sunrise or sunset. Kamal was the perfect host, always kind and helpful. He even took us on a tuk-tuk trip to a waterfall about an hour from Ella, which was an unforgettable experience. In short: great location, great service, spotless cleanliness, and a truly authentic homestay experience. Highly recommended!

Situato a Ohiya, tra le montagne dell'Horton Plains Range, l'Hill Safari - Tea Estate Villa offre piatti della cucina dello Sri Lanka, una zona salotto in comune circondata da piantagioni di tè e... We loved our stay at the Hill Safari. The views were spectacular, the staff made us feel very comfortable and welcome and the room was everything we needed. The food was also delicious and they gave us many new year treats to try. They recommended some great walking routes, talking you through the route with a hand drawn map!
