Our stay at Ella Barn Hills was absolutely wonderful! Finding accommodation with such a breathtaking view at this price is truly rare. The owner was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, always ensuring our needs were met. Her husband was also fantastic—whenever we needed a ride to the town center, he offered transport at non-touristy prices, making our stay even more convenient. One of the highlights was the possibility to get drinking water directly from the property, which was a great bonus. The breakfast, lovingly prepared even in the early morning hours, was simply delicious, and enjoying it with a view of the Nine Arch Bridge made it even more special. Additionally, they were very helpful in arranging transport to farther locations and giving great local recommendations. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for accommodation in Ella. You won’t be disappointed!

Nethsara cottage is absolutely gorgeous - beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and in a rural, quiet spot in the hills above Ella. Delicious breakfasts are served on the balcony that has amazing views of the valley and the Mahamevnawa Monastery in the distance. Madusha is a lovely host, organising tuktuks on our request. We were so sad to leave and couldn’t recommend it more!

Siamo stati in questo cottage appartenente ad un nucleo famigliare che è stato di un'ospitalità unica. Colazione fantastica e consiglio vivamente di mangiare la sera da loro, la signora prepara dei piatti tipici buonissimi e a prezzi onesti. La cura con cui ci hanno trattato, lavandoci anche i vestiti senza chiedere nulla in cambio, è stata senza precedenti. Sono stati anche super cordiali nel darci informazioni e organizzarci la visita al monastero buddista, esperienza che consiglio vivamente, come anche la salita all'Ella rock. Spero vivamente di poter ritornare da questa magnifica famiglia e le auguro tutto il bene del mondo Un grosso abbraccio da Federico e Antonino.

They were helped us with everything, breakfast was very delicious and the view from the room and from any other part of the eco lodge is simply breathtaking. Thank you very much!

We had a fantastic time here. A lovely place just outside the busy center of Ella. The rooms are fantastic and have great views of the area and from your bed you can see the sun rise in the morning ! But above all, the owners are fantastic. Really enjoyed the cooking class as well. It hurt to leave.

We loved our stay at the Hill Safari. The views were spectacular, the staff made us feel very comfortable and welcome and the room was everything we needed. The food was also delicious and they gave us many new year treats to try. They recommended some great walking routes, talking you through the route with a hand drawn map!
