We loved just opening our eyes in the morning and having the first thing we see be a mountain view. The homes are designed perfectly for a family vacation with ample space and privacy for everyone. We enjoyed the large veranda and wood fired hot tub. The beds are comfy and the linens soft and of good quality. The staff were so friendly and helpful for planning our days. They also stored our luggage on the check-out day so we could continue to explore. We stayed 2 nights, but wish we had stayed at least three or more to really enjoy everything in the area. We highly recommend this lodge. It costs bit more than others in Cederberg area, but it was worth every penny. This is an amazing place to unwind and see another environment after visiting Cape Town. There is a visceral peacefulness about the place that makes it quite unique. We would definitely return to this lodge if we are in the area again. Loved it!!

This trip exceeded our expectations. When we arrived we were upgraded for free on arrival. The service has nothing short of excellent and the attention to detail was superb. Will definitely be back and we highly recommend the Full Board as the activities were great!

We arrived relatively late, but the owner came to us to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Later, after dark, she even provided us with more coffee and made sure the fire was burning.

We absolutely loved the location, beautiful nature around us, and felt right at home at the cabin. Well thought space, great amenities, nicely designed, very comfortable, and great value for money. Communication with the hosts was perfect, and they made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We would recommend this place to everyone!

Bill and Jeanine have created a paradise. The chalets were beautiful. The staff were friendly. The food was out of this world. They are such good cooks. The highlights were the vegetables cooked over the open fire. Fire roasted cauliflower and beetroot. Mushroom cooked with peanut butter. The meat was beautifully cooked but the star of the show was the veggies. That being said, it was all wonderful. The work they do in rescuing animals and their love for the area stands out. Their pets made the stay even better. To see such wonderfully peaceful and happy animals speaks volumes when you know they’re all rescues.

The unit was clean and very comfortable, especially the beds. Showers were amazing. Modern with a big showerhead. Borehole water was so soft on your skin. Drinking water out of a tap was amazing, crystal clear water. The outdoor tub is a plus, especially at night, as the stars are exquisite. The waterfall trail is a must.

Located in Citrusdal, 15 km from Citrusdal Quad Farm and 16 km from Petersfield 4WD-trail, Cederkloof Botanical Retreat provides accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden with an... Peaceful place with beautiful cabins and lots of nice touches. Hot tubs and pool were wonderful, hikes with beautiful views. Check in was very easy! Great place to be immersed in nature but still have all the modern comforts.
