Definitely the most impressive mountain hotel I have ever been. Everything was on the highest level, from the views from the windows, room design, bathroom, tub inside living room to kindness of the staff, sauna, breakfast. It is not cheap, but it is worth every money!

Great location in a small, quiet town with amazing view but still with several restaurant options. Superclean place, the owners are really nice, the food is very deliscious, wide range of options for breakfast and it's great that you can have also dinner in the hotel. Sauna is also fabulous after hiking or just to relax. Highly recommended place.

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous! Great selection of food for breakfast and dinner, excellent location with breathtaking views, beach in front of the hotel, staff friendly, nice and kind. A very cute house with a lovely owner who helped me with everything. The house was clean and very tidy. The town Bad aussee is about a 15 minute drive from Hallstatt and is the cutest and quietest one .

Amazingly restored historic building with a very relaxed and friendly, yet privacy respecting way. Common areas are beautiful and the whole place is an inspiration. Podenhaus is located comfortably in Bad Aussee in a way that it’s easy to make day-trips to nearby lakes. Bicycle rent is also nearby. Will surely be back!
