The north end of Penticton, has wonderful walking paths along the lake and beautiful views up the lake. The paths have lots of benches along them for enjoying various views. The main downtown is easily walkable and there are some interesting shops on Main Street and Front Street. Petrasek Bakery has marvellous pastries and coffee. It's a fun city year-round and beautiful down by the beach, especially up by Okanagan Lake where there is an excellent walkway. Lots of fun shops, love the small museum at the library, and an interesting art gallery. Plenty of great places to eat if you are gluten free/dairy free. Even vegan! I love the many interesting shops in Penticton. I also like the beach, more for the view than for swimming. There are lovely gardens, a great art gallery, fantastic food for dairy-free/gluten-free including Gratify (on Main Street) and Dosa Vilas (Power Street/Westminster). I highly recommend them both. Penticton is a charming city in southern British Columbia that comes alive in the spring with blossoming orchards everywhere. The area is dotted with numerous farms and gardens, making it incredibly picturesque. The city is surrounded by stunning lakes and the breathtaking nature of British Columbia. Pentiction is a beautiful location...nestled between 2 lakes with gorgeous beaches. There is rail-trail bike riding ..... up to a tunnel on the north-east side of Okanagan Lake and a great ride along Skaha Lake to Okanagan Falls. There is some challenging mountain-bike trails called Three Blind Mice and Campbell Mountain.
