FAQs about hotels in Frankfurt/Main

The Beating Heart of Europe

Located near central Germany, Frankfurt is not simply the beating heart of the country. It’s also the lifeblood of the European Union.

The German Federal Bank and the European Central Bank are based here, so naturally this is a city where commerce thrives. In fact, the skyline is so punctuated by skyscrapers that Frankfurt is affectionately known as Mainhattan, a pun on the River Main that slowly meanders through the city.

Lining its banks is Museumsufer, a district comprising over 20 museums including Goethe’s birthplace and the Frankfurt Historical Museum. Impressive views of all of this can be enjoyed from the tower of Gothic-style Frankfurt Cathedral which played an important role in the Holy Roman Empire.

In the shadow of the modernist architecture remain traces of quintessential Germany. The reconstructed half-timbered facades in Römer square are picture perfect, and the cobbled streets of Fressgass are always full of locals deciding which café to dine at.

Served by Frankfurt Airport - one of the world’s busiest - this pumping city is always on the move. This means that hotels in Frankfurt gets booked up pretty quickly, so book early with Booking.com to secure the accommodation of your choice.

This was a two day stopover.

This was a two day stopover. Hotel is in nice area of town and U Bahn stations an easy walk. Restaurant next door looked great but didn't have enough time. Head down to the river for some great sights. Transport good. Easy train trip from the airport, 15 mins into central then change to U4 line for two stops.

We like Frankfurt. I think it does not get enough credit. We like to walk along the each side of the river. We found many charming cafes to sit and rest in. We find the public transportation system very good. The train station is impressive and easy to manage.

The city was beautiful with a very good sense of the old mixed with new. Well worth visiting. This was my second time to visit. Frankfurt is also excellently located to access the Rail Network, We visited by train Köln (Cologne), Heidelberg and Idsteiner always returning to Frankfurt. The locals were always very helpful in explaining or translating. The shopping is excellent

Frankfurt is ideal for travelers seeking a cosmopolitan city with strong cultural offerings, excellent connectivity, and a mix of modern and historic charm. However, tourists looking for a purely traditional German experience may find it less atmospheric, and caution is advised around the main station area, especially at night.

The hotel is perfectly fine and you have all the comfort you need for your stay. I went to this hotel for a show in Frankfurt but I have to say that the price is very high considering that you are far from downtown. I had to go to Messe and even if you have the train very close I didn't feel taking the train alone at night so I took uber which add a lot in the final price. Prices for hotel in Frankfurt are really too high! Even Paris is cheaper....

The food at breakfast was so relaxing and quint , the receptionist and the fact I could check in hours before the time ....thank you ....as I arrived early hours of the morning in Frankfurt .... The chocolates or sweats on the bed was a perfect touch and water bottles everyday much appreciated. But the hotel does not disappoint and it's very close to the main train station and walking distance to Malla the River and The Old Town areas.

I often choose Motel One when I travel. It is a good chain hotel with a good ratio of price/quality. Nice lobby and bar if you need a place to hang out. Rooms are not super big but they are clean, comfortable and offer all you need. Motel One in Frankfurt is close to the city center and the main attractions. You can walk everywhere from there: to the old town, to the "Mainhattan neighborhood or along the Main.

Super convenient location for anyone having a stopover in Frankfurt. Was great to be able to arrive at the main train station and cross the road to our hotel. Short stroll or tram ride to the centre of the city / old town where there is plenty to eat and drink. Included Buffett Breakfast was excellent.
