FAQs about hotels in Leeds

Stylish, Stately and A Shopping Haven!

Between Bronte Country and the Yorkshire Dales, Leeds is a stately city with a wealth of impressive Georgian and Victorian buildings. The most celebrated is the town hall, a Grade I-listed gem with a huge clock tower supported by columns. Just around the corner is the understated Leeds Cathedral, and between the two is Millennium Square, a large urban space that plays host to outdoor concerts and a German Christmas market.

Shopping in Leeds is fantastic. Kirkgate Market is Europe’s largest covered market, and the magnificent, round Corn Exchange is home to exclusive boutiques. The city also has the first Harvey Nichols outside of London, as well as the usual high street brands.

As home to 2 large universities, Leeds has a young and vibrant vibe. It has repeatedly been voted the clubbing capital of the UK and is home to the Leeds Festival, an annual music event that attracts thousands.

The city also has excellent sporting pedigree. Internationals are held at Headingley cricket ground, and Leeds United FC and the Leeds Rhinos rugby league team are well-known names in their fields.

On the outskirts of the city are wonderful Roundhay Park, Kirkstall Abbey and Leeds-Bradford International Airport. Leeds accommodation on Booking.com covers all areas of this elegant city.

Leeds is a city full of culture historic buildings and places and university. The areas near the river are getting more regeneration to make it attractive to locals and tourists. It’s buzzing with young people and night life. There’s a range of galleries and museums ,the library is a must visit . The variety of Restaurants and cafes offer satisfaction to all tastes and ages. I was pleasantly impressed with what Leeds has to offer. And the future is bright for this lovely city.

In Leeds we had a pleasant ride on the water taxi to the Armouries Museum which was really interesting. We then enjoyed a leisurely walk back into town along the canal/ river path with lots to see. It was a short visit and we would like to return. We took a train to Ilkley from Leeds on one day- only half an hour and you are in the moors.

I travel to Leeds regularly and I love it.

I travel to Leeds regularly and I love it. It is a compact city with everything you need, the people are friendly and there are plenty of good places to eat. I particularly recommend the Henry Moore sculpture museum, which is small but has brilliant exhibitions. Taking a boat trip to the Armouries museum is fun, and pottering around the Corn Exchange is something I always do

the location, price, breakfast was good.

the location, price, breakfast was good. Let down by the parking fee @ £20, room small, toiletries very cheap, used my own. Went for a funeral so didn't look around, but went to the city center for food as more choice for Gluten Free.

We stayed in the centre of Leeds because we wanted to explore what it had to offer. We walked along the river and canal basin, taking in some of the history of the place. In Mid-September 2025, there is a discovery walk which requires you to find codes on each of the bridges and then you can play its history back. Its called The Bridges of Leeds and brochures were available in the Hyatt Place Hotel. The Corn Exchange is well worth a visit with lots of smaller craft type shops. Close by is the Famous Leeds Market and the Victorian Quarter. the are tons of shops available of all types throughout the City and the City Museum and Art Gallery are well worth a visit. Do be prepared to walk a lot though, we were there for 3 days and the lowest step count was 16,000!

Leeds is a lovely cultural place, with plenty to see and do. Its central to other towns like York and Waterfalls and country hikes. Just be aware if driving through Leeds trying to find a carpark, there isn't any signs for parking, we had to Google and on our return home, I was issued with 2 fines for driving in a street that's just for buses twice! If there's a park and ride go for that as if you have no idea where your going you'll get caught out!

A great location with a bus stop right outside the hotel and with a regular bus service into Leeds city centre. Plenty of free car parking spaces and the rooms are more than adequate. We were not disappointed with the breakfast and the evening food was good. The bar price for drinks was reasonable. It was our second visit to the Corn Mill Lodge Hotel and it will not get overlooked the next visit we make to Leeds.

I thought the room was really nice and the hotel itself was very well done. Staff was nice and getting the key card was very easy even dropping it off was also a breeze. The hotel is really close to most things in Leeds as it’s right in the city centre and really easy to get to from the station.
