Such a vibrant city with so much to see and do. Enjoyed the Frog & Bucket comedy club, the Football Museum and a trip down to Media City and the Lowry Exhibition. Tram service was really good and easy to get around.

Manchester is a large diverse city. Getting about is easy with trams and great bus services. It has everything you would expect from a large multicultural city and has the advantage of having parks and trees frequently scattered throughout the city.

There were a lot of run down buildings where we were near Deansgate. The tram/Metrolink is great we used it to get to the co-op live venue in the Etihad campus. We though for once we have had a trip here without rain (we’ve been twice before and both times it rained)/ but no, as soon as the concert finished and we left the building it was pouring down, by the time we got back to our apartment we were all soaked.

Went to the Halle orchestra concert in the Bridgewater Hall; excellent concert and the orchestra is definitely worth hearing. The city centre seemed remarkably clean and we liked the free circular bus route (no.1) from the station.

    Manchester is great!

Manchester is great! I'm sad we were there for only 1 night 😔 I could've easily stayed a week! If you're there, please visit the narrowest pub in Manchester, Mr Thomas's Chop House. The oldest pub in Manchester, Sinclairs Oyster bar & The Old Wellington & get yourself a coffee from The Pollen Club! For a coffee snob from Melbourne (him!), he was so impressed he had 2 in the same day from there 😊 Take the free city bus & look around! It's a great city!

The bathroom was lovely, great that all toiletries are provided. The room, including bathroom, was very spacious & had everything we needed. Excellent location for popping into Manchester City Centre as the tram stop is a 2 minute walk away, with free parking at the hotel. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast the following morning before checking out.

I absolutely loved this hotel, staff were amazing and it was such a perfect location for everything in Manchester City centre, decor is fab and we could not hear people in any other rooms or halls so clearly very well sound proofed. Air conditioning was fantastic as we stayed in August.

OX is a basic hotel, a role it fulfils well. As long as you expect no more than that you will not be disappointed. It is close to the centre of Eccles and both the rail and tram/bus terminals. As a less expensive option to Manchester City Centre hotels it is fine
