Pleasant town, some interesting small galleries; loved the train trip to and from St Erth. Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden excellent; Tate Modern impressive building and location, collection disappointing. Geevor Tin Mine Museum very good. Bad weather prevented wander through what appeared an interesting cemetery. Ate at apartment as too difficult to get down into town at night. Surprised that some bus routes ceased at end of August. Pubs and restaurants are generally good and reasonably priced. Venues are typically small if seeing any bands. Car parking is towards edges of town and the one by the Railway station fills up fast. St Ives is a very pretty resort and we found taxis easy to book to access nearby beach as it probably is needed for someone with limited mobility beach has lovely cafes and really lovely people running them we had a delay in taxi back but lovely lady helped us with a alternative taxi back and shelter when it really rained heavily she was so kind and very appreciated ( Barbecue restaurant you come to first) enjoy your future travels.Guest review byLynUnited Kingdom - 10.0

There are a lot of stairs to reach it but they are so worth the spaciousness and lovely layout. Definitely the largest hotel room I’ve been in recently. It also comes with you own well equipped kitchenette with everything you need to self cater in the evening, should you wish to do so. The Western is in a great location and the hot breakfast is freshly cooked and superb. The apartment is well equipped and well maintained. It has a parking space which are not available for many properties in Cornwall. It is on a bus route to St Ives and the ‘coaster’ bus covers the local coast in a circular route inclusive of Lands End land mark, it’s cheap to travel by bus.
