Absolutely loved it, it was so pretty! Lots of shops and beautiful restaurants. We went on a great walking tour with Corfu Perspectives Guided Tours which I highly recommend. Corfu Town has bags of character and plenty to keep you occupied. Exploring the rambling streets of its (UNESCO-recognised) Old Town was a delight and it boasts two impressive Venetian Forts. There is also an abundance of nice places to eat and/or enjoy a drink. I think one would need 3 nights in Corfu to fully explore all the interesting alleyways and history. We found the small restaurant, Bizou Cafe, that featured in Maestro In Blue which was a huge highlight and where I had my first Greek salad. The service was warm and friendly. Corfu completely exceeded our expectations. We explored the island from end to end from the dramatic cliffs and turquoise waters of Paleokastritsa to the golden dunes of Issos Beach, the charm of Old Town, and the serene beauty of the northern beaches. Each area had its own unique vibe, and getting around was easy with a rental car. Corfu is the kind of place where every turn reveals something beautiful, whether it’s a hidden cove, a local taverna, or a sunset that stops you in your tracks. Staying in the center i.e. old town was all accomplished on foot. Taxi's available right outside the hotel. ALL very convenient. Loved Paxos on Flying Dolphin.
