With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.

Budapest has so much to see that you’ll feel you need at least a week to see it properly. Hospitality and public transport are both quite good. Shared cab drivers are also very good. Most people speak reasonable English except for some really old fellows who probably don’t like so many tourists anyways , lol. Some back alleys can feel unsafe after 9 p.m. and the overall the city feels like it needs some TLC but a good place to visit nonetheless.Guest review bySomnathbAustralia - 10.0

Take at least 3 or 4 nights in Budapest. It is huge with a lot to visit if you visit only main touristic sites. It is very easy to get around with public transport and google maps, 72h ticket is around 13-14 EURos.
