This is the most amazing place to stay. I've been to the jungle in India, Borneo and the Phillipines but Rambai Tree Eco Jungle Huts not only provided the most comfortable accommodation but they made us feel like family ❤️🙏. Romi and Tia communicated efficiently and clearly from the moment I booked, several months ago. They provided a very reasonably priced, friendly and knowledgeable return airport shuttle - Wayhu, and the best guides - Ronie and Nanda. We saw Orangutans, Gibbons, Thomas Leaf Monkeys, and a monitor lizard in just a half day trek! As well as being visited daily by the local Macaque troop and several large bats. Tia cooked us the most fantastic farewell dinner and we were genuinely sad to leave. Nothing was too much trouble for them ❤️

This stay was an unbelievable experience! The location was great, because you are really in nature and the river is right next to it. We went on a 2-day trek and it was incredible to see an Orang-Utan mother and her baby! The guides were very funny and kind, I felt really comfortable. Another highlight was the BBQ we did together with live acoustic guitar music. Also we made the village tour where I learned how Tufo is made and the locals were all the friendliest people. The WIFI was working fantastically. It was the perfect get-away from the busy city life. I will definitely come again, thanks for everything.

Our stay at Hotel Orangutan and visit to Bukit Lawang was the highlight of our trip and one of my favorite places I have ever visited.  First, our trekking guides Amin and Holland were exceptional and our experience seeing the orangutans was magical.   Abdoullah, our driver was also excellent.  Easy to communicate with, an excellent driver, and a very pleasant, interesting man.   Staff at the Hotel Orangutan, including Vyca, were very pleasant, good fun, and helpful.  Everything was very well organized.   Anastasia, who helped organize our trip was excellent- considering our flights, dates and plans changed 3 times!  Bukit Lawang is so charming.  We had great food, many monkeys, and music in resturants every night.  The people were so nice.  I cannot recommend a trip to Bukit Lawang and Hotel Orangutan enough.

Everything was perfect. Family and staff was incredible friendly and very helpful. The trekking was amazing. I saw a lot of animals in the jungle. The Bungalows are beautiful. The staff is very kind, they gave free food to us and items for our food. The bungalow is maybe basic, but that's exactly why everyone comes to Bukit Lawang, back to basic! The family bungalow gives you a lot of privacy and constantly seeing monkeys in the trees. On the first evening we spotted an urang utang walking next to our bungalow!

Best to train up and be fit for jungle trekking as some...

Best to train up and be fit for jungle trekking as some climbs can be a bit steep. Also it's very hot and humid. If you wanna take good pictures, don't rely on mobile phones as you'll need to zoom in quite a bit with orang utans perched high up among the trees
