    Beautiful old town, with a huge number of restaurants and bars. Food was excellent throughout. Staff everywhere were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to help. We visited in September and it was very busy - We can only imagine it is too crowded and too hot in peak summer months. Be aware that beaches are small, but there are a number of them, within walking distance, or by taxi to larger beach clubs. The old town is really beautiful, with tiny streets, squares and alleyways. Worth packing comfy shoes and just wandering.

    Monopoli was a perfect base for us to see Puglia.

    Monopoli was a perfect base for us to see Puglia. Loved getting lost in the maze of narrow streets in the Old Town. Recommended Calette Torre Cintola to a couple staying at our hotel and they loved it as well. Also Recommended Micasa which has great location, friendly staff and great food at reasonable prices.

    The old town is super cute!

    The old town is super cute! some great artisan stores and even a great vintage clothing store! The dining scene is excellent and ranges from rustic homey feel to more upmarket but all very affordable! Great wines flow from all bars and restaurants. Osteria Perricci and Bar Pizzeria Restaurant Porto Rosso were among favourites for food.

    Monopoli is a really great vibrant little seaside town and...

    Monopoli is a really great vibrant little seaside town and makes an excellent base to explore Puglia. Only downside for summer 2025 at least is that the city beach is closed 😔 you can access the sea over rocks, or drive/take the train to areas with actual beaches.

    An interesting, historic and well preserved / maintained town with a number of great sights and places to visit all within walking distance. Many great restaurants, bars and cafes all serving excellent dishes, but at tourist prices.

    Lucya is phenomenal as a host, we felt at ease and the breakfast was prepared with a lot of care and attention. She even helped us with laundry! She is one of the best hosts I had ever experienced. It was a joy being around her and her adorable dog Gianni! The area is so calm and quiet and the views are gorgeous. It truly helped us unwind and it is very close to Monopoli by car, which had everything we needed. I would go back and I would highly recommend it.

    A beautiful stetting. The rooms were gorgeous. I have finally slept in a trullo. The room with the roof terrace was perfect for morning breakfast. Breakfast is served in picnic baskets filled with delights. The best thing about the property was the host Vincenzo. He booked cars for us into Monopoli. Booked perfect restaurants and was so helpful. I wish we had stayed longer. It’s a piece of paradise outside of Monopoli!

    Cozy, clean, comfortable, warm room. I arrived in Monopoli on one of the few rainy days and really appreciated the warmth of the apartment and its great heat insulation. But the best was Mirella, the lovely host, who not only picked me up at the station while it was pouring down, but made my whole stay perfect! Thanks again for your help!
