All the things was PERFECT. This hotel is newly renovated, well planned concept. Family friendly onsen resort with a lot of facilities such as pool with warm water, tennis court and rental for free, basket, billyard, arcade also big playground for kids. The room was new and Big. Unlike common Japanese hotel room, that very dry and smell so dusty, the room was well ventilated and equipped with brand new electronic devices. Breakfast was SUPERB. 24H combini. The onsen was SUPERB too, free drink bar available. Their free skin care also was so good. WILL BACK AGAIN

We stayed in the new expansion building with private onsen on the balcony. The room was clean, cozy and new. Private onsen with the mountain view was such a treat. It’s in a nice and quiet location. The owner was very kind and friendly. He made sure we were safe and had everything we needed when the worst storm hit Kirishima. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting the area or looking for a relaxing base for visiting the national park and Kagoshima.

Everything was amazing! The host was incredibly kind and helpful. Every time I had a question—both before and during our stay—the response was instant and clear. We truly felt welcomed. The house itself was absolutely charming, with a magical atmosphere that perfectly suited the surroundings. When we arrived, the fireplace was already lit, offering us a warm and cozy welcome. Beautiful Traditional Japanese Inn right next to the flowing Mauro Falls. The PRIVATE onsen overlooks the river. It is stunning. The staff were so welcoming and ensured you had the best possible stay. When we went to Kirishima Shrine we mentioned we liked walking trails and they suggested we walk Kirishima Gorge. It was sensational and the highlight of Kirishima as it was stunning. The staff will drop you off at the Bus stop anytime you like. It is walking distance into town for the markets. The evening traditional meal was incredible about 20 different items , KAISEKI It was actually a little sad to leave as the Staff made our stay there very special. It is the BEST and only place to stay in Kirishima. When I was deciding where to book a lot of reviews said their accomodation was tired and old. It was traditional, so clean and beautiful.

Standard APA accomodations, but we had a stinky smoking room which was tiny tiny tiny for two people and one tiny bed :/ I think APA does that: they book two people into a "double" then upsell you at the front desk to a bigger room. They did that to us in Ryugoku Tokyo property also...

If you like nature, you must like Kirishima, which is beautiful and peaceful. When you climb up to the volcano, you will be amazed at the magic of nature. The local people can’t communicate with English but very patient and nice.

Location next to onsen waterfall, which you can listen to when you fall asleep Staff are friendly and welcoming. Suggested a beautiful hiking trail at Kirishima Gorge which was spectacular The Kaiseki dinner menu was amazing along with great Breakfast You would not stay any where else, this is the best location. Maruo Falls is 1km away I hat made the stay outstanding was the beautiful staff

One of the sweetest hostess I have ever met. Willing to go out of her way to help us. The hotel is not new anymore but she is so engaged that fills any gap the hotel might have. There is an onsen you can use privately at no charge and breakfast was also included in the price. The room was quite big for japanese standards. Highly recommended!

We just stayed a night because our main purpose was to hike in Kirishima. We wish we could've dtayed longer because our rooms were spacious and well equipped. The onsen was also a nice surprise and the decorations made the place feel unique and cozy.
