Our experience at this property was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for, as though we were guests in a home filled with warmth and charm. This place is unlike any other—a true oasis where you can completely immerse yourself in the vacation spirit. Every detail has been so thoughtfully designed and curated, creating an environment that is both stylish and comfortable. The house has a distinct and beautiful design that blends effortlessly with the natural surroundings, giving it a unique character that made our stay unforgettable. The pool is undoubtedly the cherry on top. After a day exploring the area or even just lounging around, it was the perfect place to unwind, cool off, and enjoy some quiet moments. You could easily spend the entire day here, relaxing and taking in the serene atmosphere. The location is also excellent—just a stone's throw away from Galle Fort and within a very short distance of the beach, offering the best of both worlds. Whether you’re looking to explore the historic sights, soak in the vibrant local culture, or simply relax by the sea, everything is conveniently close. Our stay exceeded all expectations. The level of care and attention from the staff was impeccable—they were well-trained, friendly, and attentive to our every need. It’s evident that they take pride in making every guest feel at home, and it truly elevated our experience. On top of all this, the accommodations themselves were outstanding. The rooms were spotless and beautifully furnished, creating a space that was both elegant and inviting. This wasn’t just a stay; it was an experience that made us feel completely rejuvenated. This is by far the best accommodation we’ve had in all our travels across Asia. I recommend this property to anyone planning a visit to Galle, you won’t regret it. And as for us, this has become a must-visit destination, and we’ll definitely be returning whenever we’re back in Galle.

What truly stood out was the personalized touch of a small tour of the villa and its surroundings, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the area. The villa itself exudes charm and elegance, with spacious rooms that are meticulously designed for comfort. Our accommodation boasted not only comfortable beds but also a fully equipped kitchen, providing us with the convenience of preparing our own meals if we wished to do so. This thoughtful inclusion added a level of flexibility to our stay, making us feel right at home. However, what truly set Villa Rumassala apart was its exceptional staff, who went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. Menaka, in particular, epitomized hospitality with her warm demeanor and attention to detail. Her genuine care for our comfort and satisfaction truly made us feel like royalty. Additionally, we cannot speak highly enough of the Tuktuk driver, Sandaru, whose fair prices and friendly demeanor made exploring the area a breeze. Colonial villa perfectly renovated, the atmosphere , interiors and customer care are truly remarkable, nothing to envy to other hotels that may be more expensive and central. This place was meticolously crafted around the ideal stay in Galle, staff was extremely attentive to every need, absolutely discreet,all day dining, we felt so comfortable our 3 year old was going around the place as if we lived there. We genuinely loved it and invited friends to visit for a coffee just to recommend the place.

From the moment I arrived the staff did an amazing job, nothing was any trouble and always a smile.. add to this an amazing building and decor you have an amazing hotel. I made the mistake of booking a place in the fort for the social aspect that was more expensive and half as nice in every department, probably forgo the 3 nights in the new place and return to Taavetti, you won't regret booking i promise you.

Lovely location - close to the action, but not in the middle of it. Wonderful service - Ashan, who manages the entire villa is polite, helpful and friendly. The room was large, comfortable and clean.

Amazing accommodation experience! I was staying for 9 nights. The location is very good: not so far from city, but groceries, banks are near. Not so far from train station but you will never hear the trains. Wild nature. Cabins are very clean, good equipped. Washmachine is available. Place for parking is available and owner helped with motorbike renting. The breakfasts were overwhelming! Everyday fresh, every day new option, generous portions. Once owners arranged a local-style dinner 😍 The owner was very helpful and friendly, did a much for my comfortable staying, thank you very much! ❤️

Location is perfect. The only hotel in the beach, there is no one a couple of kilometers each side. For comparison, if you go to Unawatuna you will see the difference, the very negative one. Service. The staff is very nice. Restaurant food is gorgeous. Have compared it with the best restaurants in Galle. Beach and view from the balcony are very nice.

Very cozy Villa away from the crowd. The place is owned and run by a very nice couple . 11/10 customer service felt like a home . The owner even dropped me off to the railway station because it was very early in the morning . The breakfast is continental and quite good.

This was our 16th place to stay in Sri Lanka. It has to be the most peaceful, relaxing and chilled out of all. Lovely clean, spacious room, with a small seating area which we loved the views onto the lake. The staff were exceptional! We also hired their kayaks and went for a trip on the serene lake. We’ll remember this place and would definitely return.
