How am I going to put into words how absolutely wonderful Kifaru Bush Camp was?? One can not but feel welcome when you are personally greeted by Natalia Nailenge as you step out of the vehicle.Welcome rooibos tea cocktails offered by a smiling Hambeleleni Nakapandi. Dinner was from heaven for Chef Selma E Shigwedha prepared exeptional Oryx steaks with beautiful side dishes after our evening drive. Amber and Tristan Muller - manager/guide I booked an evening drive but only morning drives are done, but these two young people went above and beyond to make an evening drive possible and Richardo had lovely sundowner drinks and snacks ready and available on our arrival at the viewing area. Johannes controlled everything fire, from the inviting camp fire on arrival back from our drive to every room's boiler fire for our hot water. Not only was our visit and drive fantastic, it was also educational. Amber and Tristan shared their passion for protecting the rhino in their care and about the 'Rhino Momma Project" 'More time to visit' is definitely on my list for next time.

The hosts were amazing. We felt very welcome and looked after. The home cooked food was excellent both dinner and breakfast. We enjoyed the accommodation very much, it was like having our own little place with amazing views over the valley and it felt very private. We also enjoyed the sunset drive on the property! It was beautiful. The property was relatively close to a decent town which was also handy.

Our experience at Tarentaal Guest Farm was absolutely magical, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during our time in Namibia. From the moment we arrived, Piet and Mariana Gouws made us feel like part of their family, offering a warm welcome that set the tone for our entire stay. Their genuine hospitality and passion for their beautiful farm truly made the difference. The guesthouse itself is a peaceful oasis, with beautifully decorated rooms that were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The garden and surroundings are simply stunning, offering a perfect blend of tranquillity and nature. We enjoyed many relaxing moments here, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of the farm. What really made our stay special, though, were the hosts. Piet’s knowledge of the local area was invaluable, and he was always eager to share interesting stories and tips to make our trip even better. Mariana’s cooking was a highlight of each day – delicious, hearty meals that were always prepared with love. Dining with the other guests around a communal table felt like sharing a meal with old friends. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat away from the typical tourist spots, with incredible hosts who treat you like family, we can’t recommend Tarentaal Guest Farm highly enough. Accommodation was very good. For me personally the pillows were too soft but even so I slept very well. No TV was a really good change as you don't need it if you are an early bird. Anyway, if you wanted to watch tv you could stay at home.

This lodge offers an experience that words simply cannot capture—it’s something you have to feel for yourself. I highly recommend it to travelers heading to Etosha National Park or anyone seeking a relaxing getaway. The LOCATION is excellent, the rates are AFFORDABLE, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The staff are exceptionally friendly, the food is delicious, and the ice-cold beverages are always served with a smile. Truly a gem worth visiting!

A very comfortable cabin a short walk from the main eating places and the pool. The room has a balcony with a superb panoramic view of the property and possibly some animals drifting past the waterhole that can be seen. The room is well appointed and has all the necessary facilities. The hosts, Anita and Chris, are very welcoming and helpful. Chris organised for me a gyrocopter flight over a rhino conservation facility which was a fabulous experience, both for the flight, and the chance to visit a worthy project. The Lodge is about 1h 15m from the main reception point for Etosha NP, and I went to the park on two days. It's quite doable and the lodge is surely a better accommodation option than the overpriced ones in the park. Food was great and servings generous plus South African wine is available. You won't starve at the Lodge. A takeaway lunch can be organised for the day trip to Etosha, a highly recommended option. There is a large TV in the main lounge and Supersport is available with all channels so you can keep up with your favourite football code or international cricket. If you don't like what you're seeing, look away and enjoy the fantastic view.
