    It has scenic views and a somewhat beautiful nature. make sure to visit there in a warm weather so you can enjoy the beach, swimming, and sunbathing. I visited there in the beginning of October and it was getting cold so no one there went to the beach. I did a lot of walking around the island and through its nature and enjoyed the peaceful and calm atmosphere. There is no night life like what Istanbul has nor a lot of entertainment and activities to do, so you'll enjoy there if you're looking for some time far from your busy routine or crowded streets of big cities.

    It is a beatiful island with great arhitecture and vibe, perfect for long walks and chill. If you'd like to come here for the beach, it is not the best option. The few beaches available are expensive and they have no sand. The water is also very cold, but at least it is clean. The accomodation on the island tends to be a bit pricy and not very confortable. The local food is very good and people very friendly and helpful. Locals don't speak english very well, hotel personell includes, so you need to make sure you have internet connection so you can better communicate with people.

    Buyuk-ada - one should only learn information of it in advance. The specifik lovely town on an island whith breathtaking views to the sea, hills and forests, the seashore. But not for those who is looking for a luxury of megapolice.

    A sustainable and beautiful green island without cars. Food very good and you can get to everywhere walking through the ancient Red Pine forest on the centre of the island. Light grazing here means that the forest floor is covered in wild flowers in spring.

    A few days here after the intense Istanbul was a perfect choice. Boat trips to beaches were very welcome as it was hot and hilly, beaches had great facilities, we were the week preseason, which was very quiet, I imagine filling the 700 sun beds high season+music feels v busy. Some restaurants were very good, not much to do beyond the beach. Museum was interesting. Tricky to get the Sunday ferry-airport trip right.

    I have had very bad experience with one of the numerous restaurants situated on the sea shore. Once tempted and persuaded to order a dish we were trated very bad by the staff (napkins were throun on our table, a bottle with oilive oil has been grabbed from ou table without any word and transfered to another table where Turkish clients were sitting, the dishes were clerade away before we finished eating, without any word... in the end we have been charged extra (around £7) for the service (sic!), for the bread and water too.

    We were greeted warmly by Ahmet on arrival. The hotel is beautifully decorated with a lovely coffee shop in the lobby. Our room was clean and comfortable, even if the bed was a little hard. Bathroom was small, but plenty of hot water and toiletries were supplied. The wonderful lady downstairs did a load of laundry for us, which was a huge help! Breakfast was a perfect amount with a lovely selection. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the island and would absolutely recommend Cenar Konak for your stay!

    Me and my grandmother had a lovely peaceful stay at the hotel last week. We stayed two nights and found it the perfect place to relax in Buyukada after a busy stay in Istanbul. The breakfast was delicious both mornings and we were delighted to find a group of cats who welcomed us back to the hotel every time we left. Hale was very hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed such as cay when we arrived and that our TV worked when we wanted to watch the football game!

    Hotel Mavi Palas on Buyukada provided a perfect stay for our one-week workation. Its prime location in the heart of Buyukada's market place, just a 5-minute walk from the port, made it an ideal choice. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, with special thanks to Omar for his outstanding assistance. The clean rooms and the stunning restaurant further enhanced our overall wonderful experience. We highly recommend Hotel Mavi Palas for a memorable stay on Buyukada.

    Location is excellent, about 5-10 mins walk from the ferry terminal. The.hotel has a certain faded grandeur like a lot of properties on the island. The guy on reception was great & dealt with any queries. Pool area is absolutely lovely & well maintained. There’s a separate breakfast room & terrace which is also lovely; good coffee & usual Turkish fare.
