Cathedral City is generally more affordable that other locations in the greater Palm Springs area. It easy to get to the I10 and to the shopping areas in Palm Desert. It is a little further from the downtown Palm Springs area but the drive is easy and has more than one option for routing that allows you to avoid traffic. One afternoon/evening about 15 of us were gathered in the large seating area near the lobby. We brought our own drinks and snacks and also purchased beer and wine from the little store onsite. As the evening approached, we could not agree on a place to have dinner, so we just stayed at the hotel and ordered pizzas. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
