    Mossel Bay itself has so much to see and do and then you...

    Mossel Bay itself has so much to see and do and then you have all the little treasures on the outskirts of Mossel Bay. One that we found this weekend after visiting Mossel Bay for the last 15 years is the Butterfly Sanctuary on the R328 in Ruitersbos. Visit in summer to see the butterflies as in winter their numbers are far less. A must at the sanctuary is to meet Earle Whitely a world renowned butterfly expert.

    It was easy to navigate and there’s a lot to sea and places to visit but we didn’t have time as we were there for 4 days. If one plans to stay longer they will find exciting things to do and for families with kids too. The shopping malls are easy to access .

    Great stop if driving along the Garden Route.

    Great stop if driving along the Garden Route. Since we drove from Cape Town, it was a great resting spot. We managed to do all of the activities we had planned in one day; St. Blaize Trail, St. Blaize Cave, St. Blaize Lighthouse, Santos Beach, Explore Old Town, Dias Museum. Short drive to Wilderness were we visited the "Map of Africa " view and Wilderness Beach.

    Unfortunately it was only a 1 night stay on our way back...

    Unfortunately it was only a 1 night stay on our way back home, so there was not enough time to enjoy the scenery. We enjoyed supper at La Peron Visskerm, which was excellent. It's a beautiful town, friendly people, and beautiful surroundings. Our accommodation was superb, the best views and service

    Nice small hotel, on the beach, excellent view of the sea. Very good breakfast served in a pleasant dining room with very friendly service. Room was comfortable and clean but hot water was a bit limited at times. Great access to the beach, 20 minute walk to shops and restaurants. The swimming pool was closed for repairs during our visit. 15 minute drive to downtown Mossel Bay.

    Huge bedrooms (2). Comfortable beds and clean linens. Huge bathrooms (2). Happy with the cleanliness, quality and comfort of the apartment. If finding the apartment location is difficult, note that the landmark is the santos express train hotel which is just few meters away on the opposite side of the street (Munro Street).

    The accommodation exceeded our expectations. Bed was super comfy, and we had everything we needed for our stay and more. The owner was kind, attentive, and welcoming. Location is great, only a short walk from some amazing views (St Blaize Hiking Trail). Lovely, safe, and accessible to Mossel Bay Central and The Point.
