We could eat take away food in the living area. The staff were very friendly. As the weather was quite chilly compared to the other area, we got an electric heater. Despite of no breakfast, we got food in a supermarket, so absolutely no problem. Shower was quite warm, too. The price was quite economical. I felt like staying in the UK.

The hospitality was warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious throughout our visit. Everything was well taken care of, and the staff made sure we felt comfortable at all times. Very lovely place, somewhat outside center of Nuwara, but at the endpoint of the Pekoetrail. We did the last etappe of the trail and came back with a bus. Very nice views and relaxed walk. The owner is very friendly and can give you all the info you want. Breakfast was excellent. It's continental with Strawberry juice, cake or pancakes. They even did some home cooking for us the first evening (Khottu). Again, very tasteful. I recommend this place for its charme. You look out your window and see the plains! The next day, he brought us to the trainstation.

Opting for the three-bedroom apartment proved to be an excellent choice, offering a haven of comfort, cleanliness, and breathtaking scenery. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the sheer spaciousness of the apartment and the evident care taken in its maintenance. The living area was thoughtfully furnished, creating a welcoming atmosphere with comfortable sofas, a TV, and convenient WiFi access that made us feel right at home. Each of the three bedrooms was remarkably spacious, providing ample room to relax. The provision of fresh, clean towels, crisp bedsheets, and cozy blankets ensured a restful night's sleep. The bathrooms were equally impressive, being immaculate and very well-maintained, reflecting a high standard of hygiene. For those who prefer to self-cater, the fully equipped kitchen was a fantastic amenity. It included a gas stove, refrigerator, rice cooker, heater jug, and a complete set of necessary utensils, making meal preparation a breeze. However, the true gems of Mount View Bungalow were the balconies attached to every room and the main hall. Stepping onto them revealed truly breathtaking panoramic views of the majestic mountains and lush tea plantations surrounding Hatton. These serene vistas provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation and soaking in the natural beauty of Sri Lanka. Practicality was also well-considered, with ample and secure parking available within the gated premises, offering peace of mind for guests with vehicles. Furthermore, the location is incredibly convenient, with Hatton town just a pleasant 10-minute walk away, providing easy access to shops and local amenities. The hospitality we received from the host was exceptional.

The owner of the guest house picked and dropped us from nanu oya train station. And everything was very nice. He arranged transport for us for Horton's plains as well and packed our breakfast at 5:30am. The view from the room of fields was nice in the morning too.

Surrounded by tea plantations and other small cultivations, and inside the grounds is a perfectly tended garden and very professional welcome from the small team. Short walks available to a viewpoint amongst the tea. Room and bathroom both spacious and as in the photos. Dinner and breakfast both delicious. The banana bread in particular! No problem to order us a taxi to go to the station the next morning too. More expensive than the average accommodation, but certainly value for money compared to other similar high-end “boutique” accommodations in Sri Lanka (which can start at $900 per night - and I’m not sure the extra butler would be worth the difference!)
