We had the most private cottage. We really enjoyed the terrace with a spectacular view. When you order a meal here, you can ask to serve it either at your private terrace or at the common one. The menu is not big, but the food is perfect. We took almost the same dishes as in a restaurant in the town, and here they were much better. Everything was very delicious and so beautiful served! This is a family winery, so you can taste and buy some wine here. They also have homemade honey 😋 We appreciated the opportunity to use the bicycles freely. They are not for a mountain trip, but OK to go to the town center. By foot, the distance is a little bit long, but with a bicycle, it is just 10 minutes or less. So it was great to stay far from the center, among this beauty and calmness, and still have an option to go there fast without a car. The family running this "hotel" are the most nice people, as well as all the stuff we met here. I don't know how to name such a type of accommodation. It provides all the facilities that you usually have in a hotel, but it is much more family and cozy place. And unlike a usual guest house, here you have your own bathroom, kitchen, and terrace.

We toured by bus then train from Poderica to Skadar. The train is primitive. We were dropped off far outside the unannounced station at night. we jumped down from the open door onto the tracks more than a meter below with our luggage in a dark forest about 500 m. from some lights in the distance and Nancy has mobility issues. The hotel family picked us up an hour later..the station was closed. The family was gracious.

On top, the hospitality of Marko and his devotion to make our stay pleasant. It's very noticeable that he runs this business with devotion, not just to make money. The location of the house is perfect to visit the surroundings of Virpazar, including of course a boat excursion on the Skadar Lake. Marko managed to organize it, and it went very well. Facilities are correct, with all that we needed for a comfortable stay. And all perfectly clean. They offer food but we did not try (mistake!). Other guests told us that it was a great experience, including the wines of the property.

The location is an absolute gem, hidden in the forest, quiet and welcoming, and a lot of privacy and serenity. We had the possibility of grilling and enjoying a night fire, which is a plus. The place is really clean and comfortable as presented and pet friendly. Our dog loved the small olive fenced garden. We ate pomegranates and kakis from the yard and walked barefoot and sunbathe as well. It is really close to the old city and the beach, 10-15 min by car (or bikes, if you have them, take them with you, it is fun roaming around and exploring Bar). 10**** The owner was helpful and responded quickly to our requests. We will be back ❤️
