An absolute jungle gem. The whole area is beautifully arranged and maintained; it's wonderful to be surrounded by trees and woken up by birds. The pool is small but very nice. The staff are there if you need them, but otherwise you can fully enjoy your privacy. Jose was all smiles, such a friendly guy. The villa itself was super clean, spacious and convenient, and the daily cleaning service was very thorough. I was prepared for insects in the room, power/water problems etc but there were no such issues at all. People complaining in the reviews about dampness/smell or gravel garden paths should really get a grip. Oh, and don't miss the Chan Paal tortilleria just across the road. They have exquisite food and super cool staff.

Eduardo is the best! He was always available for whatever you might need, had great ideas for dining and beach activities. He is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. The rooms are spacious and oh so clean. We were lucky to get a room with a view of the lagoon. The dock is perfect for lounging and for jumping into the crystal clear water. You can’t go wrong with Villa Marilu. We highly recommend it snd will come back someday!

Everything is as described. Very nice interior. Perfect for a short stay. Worked great for us as a family of 6 for a quick overnight before transferring to our resort the next morning. An OXXO and a few spots to eat within short walking distance.

Check in was completely smooth. The host welcomed us in a dedicated WhatsApp group, which also made it super easy to ask questions or request help during the stay. The place was stocked with all the essentials, so we could settle right away and check out was just so smooth. Highly recommend!
