Το Hótel Jökulsárlón - Glacier Lagoon Hotel βρίσκεται σε Gerdi, σε απόσταση 11 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Λίμνη Παγετώνα Jokulsarlon και προσφέρει καταλύματα με μπαρ και δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο... There should be a different category for hotels like this: a destination hotel :-) Of course we were road tripping across Iceland, so we never stayed anywhere more than 1 night, but if we had, it would have been here: wow! The staff is VERY friendly and VERY professional, you can see that they enjoy working there. The food was great, the breakfast was wonderful, the lobby is fabulous, the bar and lounge were superb. The entire design and setup of the hotel is just perfect. We had a great room with glacier (lake) view. And don't get me started on the two outdoor hot tubs and the outdoor sauna: we enjoyed it until 22:00 hrs (thank you) after a long drive, and we enjoyed the next morning at 7 AM as well. WOW!

Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. Υπέροχη τοποθεσία μέσα στη φύση. Πολυ εξυπηρετικό και ευγενικο προσωπικό. Το δωμάτιο ήταν καθαρό, άνετο, ζεστό με ωραία θεα απο το παράθυρο. Τα κρεβάτια και τα μαξιλάρια ηταν πάρα πολύ άνετα. Το πρωινό και το δείπνο που είχαμε στο ξενοδοχείο ήταν καταπληκτικα!

Fosshotel Mývatn is located next to Lake Mývatn, 6.8 km to the Mývatn Nature Baths. The hotels provides free WiFi and free private parking. Great location, near the main attractions in the area, also great decor. Best breakfast I had in the trip.

This hotel is quietly situated 2 km from Lake Mývatn and 30 minutes’ drive from the Godafoss Waterfall and Krafla Crater. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with modern furnishings. Location, the building itself, friendly staff, modern rooms, excellent restaurant and great breakfast.

Το Landhotel απέχει 27χλμ. από την Hella και 12χλμ. από το Laugaland και διαθέτει κήπο, μπαρ και δωρεάν Wi-Fi. Διαθέτει 24ωρη ρεσεψιόν και εστιατόριο. Superb room, luxurious for my wife and I as the room was super spacious. It has everything I need! Breakfast was an added bonus as Booking.com said no meal plan and receptionist said all rooms come with a breakfast. Wife was elated :) For the price compared to other accommodations I had in Iceland, this is super value for money. Pity we didn’t had time to try out the hot tub out in the open! 2 nights is definitely not enough when the F-roads are open for the summer as there are plenty of nearby hikes around the area!

One of the my best stays in Iceland. Enjoyed the outdoor hot bath, which the property also offers indoor sauna (but note operational at selected timings only). The room is lovely with a window overseeing the 'boat on the dock'. There is a common area for people to gather and chat, with central heating in the centre. The breakfast buffet was great too, served in the restaurant, and you get to enjoy nice views as well ... however, they close the restaurant when breakfast is over, meaning all patrons will be asked to adjourn elsewhere. The bar is open in the evenings, but pretty pricey so go easy on the alcohol :)

Το Hotel Halond είναι σε Ακουρέιρι, σε απόσταση 39 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Καταρράκτης Godafoss και προσφέρει καταλύματα με κήπο, δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο στάθμευσης και βεράντα. The room was new and modern, clean and spacious. Not exactly in the center of Akureyri but a very short 5-7 min drive which was great. We could park right outside the room and bring in our luggages through the terrace door. Great location for spotting the Northern Lights.
