The Perun Hotel enjoys a peaceful location next to the large city park on the edge of Sandanski. It offers fine Bulgarian cuisine. The bathroom was clean and done very well. The bed was so comfortable, the warderobe full of pillows. I liked the breakfast and especially the pancake machine ♥️

Being the only ski-in and ski-out hotel in Bansko, Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko is located in the very heart of the mountain resort, right across the Gondola lift station. A spectacular location and we were able to ski directly to the door of the boot room. Huge choice at breakfast and laid out really nicely on the buffet, with the choice of breakfast served to you at the table. Rooms are lovely and spacious and the bathrooms were roomy too, with a separate shower and jacuzzi bath.

Second stay here in 5 years. Still as good as ever. Clean, spacious rooms, great pool and spa. The restaurant is great and reasonably priced. Will stay again.

Despot Slav Hotel & Restaurant, que tiene restaurante y bar, está en Melnik, a 23 km de Basílica episcopal de Sandanski y a 2,8 km de Melnishki Piramidi. The food (although I'm stating the obvious, since this is Bulgaria) was amazing. The staff was very friendly. And since we had to leave very early, they were so nice and left us breakfast in the fridge to go! And trust me, those sandwiches and water bottles went a long way during an 8 hour drive.
